The Beginning of a New and Better Year

The Beginning of a New and Better Year
“When one door closes another one opens. What you
believe is the worst moment of your life could
turn out to be the beginning of a new
and better life.”
Margie Tsoukias, Real Estate Professional

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The beginning of a new and better year

Your life is in perpetual motion . . . . On some days it will feel like you’re riding a rollercoaster going from the highest of highs to lowest of lows . . . . in what seems to be a matter of minutes.

As a professional you have to weather the changing conditions in your life to keep your success journey on the right tract and moving in the right direction.

There are no guarantees in life and your path will be filled with twists and turns. As you approach a turn in the road . . . . it may appear to be a dead end.  But as you get closer you will see a smooth road to accelerate your success journey.

You see your life and future through the eyes of . . . . your attitude.

When you see your life through the eyes of closed doors . . . . You’re focusing your thoughts through a negative prism. A negative prism distorts your thinking . . . . and misdirects your energy and your time. It will create a negative downward spiral with very limited success.

A person with a positive attitude sees their world through a positive outlook . . . . and one of unlimited opportunities. With a positive outlook when you see one door closing . . . . you will for a new door opening.

When you see your life and your future through a positive attitude you expand your thinking and your possibilities. Your mind will be open to finding new opportunities and to maximize the opportunities that you find.

The beginning of a new and better year . . . . is when your attitude is receptive to see them.

Last Year is Last Year

Last Year is Last Year
“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
and next year’s words await another voice, and to
make an end is to make a beginning.”
T.S. Eliot 1888 – 1965, Poet, Author, Publisher,
Playwright, Literary and Social Critic

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Last year is last year

We’re about to enter into a new year . . . . and with the new year there is an opportunity for you to have a new start.

Take your successes of the past . . . . and use them as building blocks for the new year. Use your past successes as a foundation to build your future success.

Take your setbacks and failure from your past . . . . and use them as a learning experience and then remove them from your thoughts. Look that those experiences as mental garbage put that garbage in a trash bag . . . . and put that trash bag in the trash can be done with that past.

Your new year will be what you visualize to be . . . .  and what you make it.

Last year is last year . . . . and a new start awaits you to grasp it.

Keep a Healthy Mindset
“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to
mourn the past, not to worry about the future,
or not to anticipate troubles, but to live in the
present moment wisely and earnestly.”
Buddha, Spiritual Teacher

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Keep a healthy mindset

Focus your mind in the present moments in your life. Focus on what can be . . . . and what you can do to make your moments be all of what they can be.

Don’t drift into the past . . . . and become distracted in the past moments in your life . . . . and what it use to be.

Don’t worry about the future on the things that may never be . . . . and don’t live in the past of what was.

Focus in your moment of the present . . . . and in those moments you have the building blocks to make your future of what you want it to be.

Nurture you mind with healthy thoughts . . . . and your mind will grow. Expand your thinking . . . . and your mind will expand and never return to its original size.

Live in the moments of your life . . . . and you will make the moments in your life work for you. In your moments you will find that you’ll live a full and productive life.

Keep a healthy mindset . . . . and your mind will nourish your success journey.

Common Sense Will Advance Your Career

“Common sense is the knack of seeing things as they
are, and doing things as they ought to be done.”
Harriet Beecher Stowe, (1811 to 1896)

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Common sense will advance your career

As you travel the path of your life’s journey your common sense will show you the way. But you have to be receptive to use your common sense in its pure sense . . . . and to use it to advance your career in the direction of success.

It’s Your Attitude and the Way You Look at Things

It’s Your Attitude and the Way You Look at Things
“Realize that there are not hopeless situations;
there are people who take hopeless attitudes.”
Dr. Norman Vincent 1898 - 1993, Minister, Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

It’s your attitude and the way you look at things

As you travel the path way of your success journey you will encounter many difference situations. Some of the situations will seem to be overwhelming and hopeless to resolve.

There are no hopeless situations only situations with various degrees of difficulties.

The attitude that you bring into a situation will determine the way you look at the condition and what course you take in resolving the situation. Your attitude that you have at the beginning of a challenging situation will very likely determine the final outcome.

The attitude that you bring into any situation is a choice.

You can choose to bring a solution driven attitude into the circumstances and to seek out the best possible answers and solutions. With a solution driven attitude you are focused on a successful outcome and your time and efforts have a purpose.

There is also another choice of entering the same situation with an attitude of being overwhelmed.

With this attitude you become focused on the condition and not the solutions, your time becomes misdirected and or efforts wasted. This type of attitude has you looking in the rear view mirror and takes your eyes off the road in front of you. By focusing on the conditions you very seldom ever look forward for the solutions and as a result the conditions are not resolved and in many cases become worst.

Things become hopeless when you take your eyes off of finding successful solutions.

There are no hopeless situations only hopeless negative attitudes that take us off course.

It’s your attitude and the way you look at things . . . . that determines what you see . . . . and your course of action.

Pat Riley, Basketball Coach and General Manger

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Constantly strive to give your best effort

Giving your best is an attitude . . . . It’s a mindset to be the best that you can become . . . . and not to settle for second place.

Being the best requires a commitment. Becoming the best is a commitment to put your best foot forward and to do your best even when you feel too exhausted to take another step. It’s going the extra mile on the days where you feel like pulling into the rest stop on your success journey.

When You’re Doing What You Love to Do

When You’re Doing What You Love to Do
“What I wanted was to be allowed to do the thing in the world
that I did best-which I believed then and believe now is the
greatest privilege there is. When I did success found me.”
 Debbi Fields, Entrepreneur

As I see it. . . . . . . .

When you’re doing what you love to do

When you’re doing what you love to do. . . . You’ll put your best foot forward in your efforts to those things you love to do. When you do . . . . success becomes within your reach.

There are far too many people who labor at their profession . . . . and don’t enjoy what they’re doing. They will labor their life away without ever putting their best effort or heart into the things that they are doing.

The person who doesn’t enjoy what their doing . . . .  will end up living an unfulfilled life with minimal results. Their days will seem to drag on and becoming long and tedious. It gets to the point where the only thing that they see as important in their day . . . is quitting time.

They hate going to work . . . . and what they are doing. Their life becomes a refection of their attitude which is mitered in a negative world of thinking and actions.

Do what you love . . . . and your days will become day’s filled with possibilities. Your days will fly by . . . .  and you’ll be lifted in the direction of your goals.

Do what you love to do with passion and the extra effort will become routine. The pace of your success journey will accelerate to higher levels of achievement.

When you’re doing what you love and do . . . . what you do will flow and seem effortless and greater success will be within yours your reach.

The Choice to Get Better

The Choice to Get Better
“Everyday day, in every way, I am getter better and better.”
Emile Coue 1857 - 1926, French Psychologist, Pharmacist

As I see it . . . . . . .

The choice to get better

When you’re facing difficulties become better . . . . not bitter.

In times of facing difficulties you will have to determine how you’ll going to respond . . . . and resolve those challenges . . . . and the difficulties. You can choose to use the power of your thoughts and attitude to help you through the difficulties . . . . and to become better.

With positive thinking and a positive attitude you will approach your difficulties with a positive . . . . and proactive approach to solve any difficulties that you face. Once you have successfully resolved the difficult situation your self-confidence grows. Resolving the difficulties makes you a stronger person and you will get better at the things you do as a result.

You will use your experiences and what you have accomplished as the foundation to become better at what you do as a result of the difficulties that you have faced and succeed in overcoming.

Use your difficulties to get better . . . . and not to become bitter.

Make the commitment to get a little better each day of your life . . . . and you will create excellence in your life.

The choice to get better . . . . is a choice that only you can make.

Your Self - Worth

Your Self - Worth
“Self-esteem is the reputation we acquire with ourselves.”
Nathaniel Branden, Psychotherapist

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Your self – Worth

The image that we have of yourself will make all the difference in the way you life your life . . . . and in what you accomplish

The foundation of your self – worth is reflected back to you everyday of your life in how you see yourself. Your self – worth tells you who you are. It will tell you that you are a valuable person with the talent that has an unlimited potential. Or it will tell you you’re entrapped in a life that you don’t want to be in.

How you see yourself is in your thinking. you either believe in your self –worth or you don’t. If you don’t like how you see yourself you have to change your thinking. In changing your thinking you change the way you see yourself . . . . and in turn you change your life.

Having a strong sense of self – worth is not in being rich . . . . having the right job . . . . driving the right car . . . . or living in the right house.

Self – worth is the belief in yourself and in your ability. It’s in trying to do the right thing for the right reason. It making the most of what you have . . . . and having written goals for your future to achieve more.

Be careful of those people in your life they will either be there to booster the self – worth. Or there will be those who would take comfort in belittling you . . . . and drain your self – worth. Choose the boosters and remove those who drain your self – worth.

Your self –worth is a precious resource. What you think about yourself is who you become . . . . and will determine the life you lead . . . . and what you achieve. Change your thinking and you elevate your self – worth.

Believe That You Can

Believe That You Can
“The best way to make your dreams come true
is to wake up.”
Paul Valery 1871 -1945, French Poet, Essayist, Philosopher

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Believe that you can

Your nights are for dreaming . . . . and your days are where you take the actions to make your dreams come true.

Your dreams are things that you think about . . . . and what you would like to have in your life. We all have them with difference levels of intensity. There are no dreams to big to achieve . . . or no dreams to small to bring value into your life. There are the dreams that you like to have and there are dreams that become must haves in your life.  There is a big difference between the two.

A like to have dream is a dream without a commitment or intensity. With a like to dream there is very little or no effort to ever made . . . . to act on the dream or to make it become a reality.

The like to dream will slowly fade away and all the memory of the dream are soon forgotten . . . . never seeing the light of day.

A must have dream becomes embedded in your thoughts and it becomes an impassioned vision for your future. Your vision creates the must have in your subconscious thinking. You will find yourself acting out your vision of must have dream . . . . in your daily activities.

A must have dream, becomes an enormous driver in your subconscious thinking . . . . and an emotional driver in your life.

The best way to make your dreams come true is to believe that you can.

Dream big dreams and then take massive action to make then come true.

Wealth Is

Wealth Is
“Wealth is not only what you have, but it is also what you are.”
 Sterling W. Sill, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Wealth is

Wealth is not only in what you have . . . . it’s also in who you are,

What is the measure of a man?

Wealth alone doesn’t measure a person . . . . wealth is a measure of the accumulation of material goods and money.

There have been many people in history that have accumulated great wealth or statue that were neither successful nor happy.

True wealth is enjoying your life and success journey . . . . and in sharing willing  what you have. It’s in forming lasting relationships . . . . and doing what you love to do become the foundation of creating wealth.

The act of pursuing your goals and enjoying you success journey then becomes part of your character . . . . and a natural progression of creating wealth.

Creating wealth is not about the accumulated things . . . but in enjoying your life’s journey and in sharing that joy with the people in your life.

Your Choices Makes All the Difference

Your Choices Makes All the Difference
“Each man has a choice in life; He may approach it
as a creator or critic, a lover or hater,
 a giver or a taker.”
 Author unknown

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Your choices make all the difference.

Making the most of your choices . . . . and how you approach those choices makes all the difference in the outcome.

You’re faced with choices every day . . . . the decisions you make will determine the direction of your life and the level of success that you achieve.

How you see your choices determines the choices that you will make.

The creator sees opportunities . . . .  and creates positive messages and energy to take advantage of their opportunities.

The critic looks at the things around them as a skeptic and sees the negative. As a result, they are burdened with a negative outlook and that outlook leads to negative choices and outcomes.

Make the choice to be the creator . . . .

Lovers see themselves as extroverts they make friends easily and will see the good in people.  The lovers will become a magnet in forming long term relationships. They will also have a great deal of support from the people that they surround themselves with.

The hater lacks self-esteem as a result of their negative attitude. They will push people away from them and will not form positive or lasting relationships. They are challenged to see the good in people or the possibilities. Without adjusting their attitude they will continue to get exactly what they are currently getting.

Make the choice to be a lover . . . .

A giver will give of themselves freely without the expectation of any personal rewards. A giver becomes a magnet for the law of attraction, in receiving without asking.

The taker relies on taking from others with or without their consent. As they continue to take they lose their self-reliance and they become dependent.

Make the choice of being a giver . . . .

Each of your choices makes your life . . . . make the most of each of your choices.

Your choices make all the difference . . . . in the direction that your life takes.

You Choose Your Attitude

You Choose Your Attitude
“You cannot choose the things that will happen to us,
but we can choose the attitude we will take towards
anything that happens. Success or failure depends
on your attitude.”
 Alfred A. Montapert, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

You choose your attitude

You may not always be able to choose your circumstances that you find yourself in . . . . but you have a choice about your attitude.

When you find yourself in those challenging situations . . . . your attitude will lead your to solutions that will either . . . . open doors . . . . or close doors, success or failure. Whatever you choose to do becomes a personal choice.

Your attitude becomes the leading edge on your success journey . . . . and will slice through the fog of doubt, As you open a door that lets the sunshine into our life.

You choose your attitude . . . . and your attitude will make you who you become.

Have Faith In Yourself and Push Your Limits

Have Faith In Yourself and Push Your Limits
“I had ambition not only to go farther than any man
had ever been before, but as far as it was possible
for a man to go.”
James R. Cook, explorer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Have faith in yourself and push your limits

There are two types of limits that will affect you as we travel through your life’s journey. Those that are imposed on you by others based on their limited beliefs . . . . and those that you impose on yourself.

You will meet two types of people on your success journey. One type will be the type of person that will encourage you to push your limits to the max . . . . and challenge you to stretch yourself to reach for greater success.

This group of people wants to see you succeed and will be there to encourage you and they will be there to push you when you need a push. Also they will be there for you when you need a helping hand. You will identify them as you family, friends, coworkers, coaches, mentors, managers and the special people in your life.

They’re the people who really care about you and want to see you succeed. They are ready to stand behind the scenes and be there for you. They will contribute to your success and they also may be a positive difference in your life.

There is also another group of people that have a small and narrow mind . . . . and become jealous when someone succeeds. When they see someone succeed they will say that the person was lucky and when someone fails they’re the first one to speak up and say that they known that the person couldn’t do it.

They belittle someone success and gloat when someone fails. There neither a friend nor mentor . . . . they are an anchor that’s trying to weight you down and watch you sink.

They will never encourage anyone and more then likely will tell a person why something can’t be done.  They take pleasure in trying to discourage you ideas and will make an extra effort to try to hold you back.

As much as you’re affected by outside sources the on your success journey the person that has the most influence your success and the direction of your life . . . . is you.

You will either push yourself to push your limits . . . . Or you will convince yourself that something can’t be done . . . . and take what life hands you.

Success is not found in the status quo of walking in someone’s footprints but in blazing a new path and putting down your own footprints where others have not walked before. Success is found when you have the faith in yourself and to push your limits.

Your Thoughts and Attitude
“Some minds seem almost to create themselves, springing up under
very disadvantage and working their solitary  but irresistible
way through a thousand obstacles .”
Washington Irving 1783 – 1859, American Author,
Essayist, Biographer, Historian and Diplomat

As I see it . . . . . . .

Your thoughts and attitude

What your mind can see in your thoughts . . . . Your mind will believe and that belief will be mirrored your actions.

Your thoughts are a powerful driving force in your life. They have the capacity to fuel you in the direction of your goals and objective. They also have a major impact in living a full and productive life.

One’s thought’s can also be negative . . . . those thoughts become part of your thinking process. Negative thinking will perpetuate themselves in your beliefs. Unless your remove them . . . . your beliefs will become negative and limit your future . . . . to the level of your negative thinking.

In your thoughts you determine the direction that your life will take.

Your attitude will determine the way you approach your life and how you respond to your thoughts.

With a positive attitude you will approach your thoughts with a positive outlook . . . . looking for the best . . . . and for the possibilities.

With negative thinking you will have a mindset of limited believes . . . . and many times feel trapped by the conditions in your life.

Your thoughts and attitude . . . . will determine the direction your life moves in . . . . and in what you accomplish in life.

Keep your thoughts and attitude positive . . . .  and your actions will move in the same direction.

Change Your Thinking – Change Your Results
“The significant problems we face cannot be solved
at the same level of thinking we were at
when we created them.”
Albert Einstein 1879 – 1955, German-Born Theoretical
Physicist, Developed the General Theory of Relativity

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Change the thinking – change the results

The way you think has been the foundation that you have built your life on. If you’re not satisfied with the foundation that you currently have it’s time to take positive action to change your thinking. It’s time to build a new and stronger foundation to support the weight of your future.

The current level of our thinking can be inhibiting your progress and in achieving your goals. Change your thinking – change your results.

Review your goals and if you’re off track look at your goals in the context of what you really want to accomplish. If you have a crystal clear vision of your goals “they are a must in your life.” Change your thinking and you’ll change your results. Stretch your thinking and your efforts to achieve your goals . . . . and you will change the results.

Focus on creating new results.

Whatever you achieve in life will first be achieved in your thinking; stretch the mental muscles of your mind . . . . and you will expand your thinking and your possibilities.

Change your thinking – change your results and you will change your life’s circumstances.
