When You Try - It Works Wonders

When You Try - It Works Wonders
“You may be whatever you resolve to be –determine to
be something in the world and you will be something.
‘I cannot,’ never accomplished anything.
‘I will try’ has worked wonders.”
J. Hawes, U.S. Representative

As I see it. . . . . . . .

When you try – it works wonders

You can . . . . when you believe in yourself.

You will accomplish . . . . your goals when you resolve yourself to take the actions that necessary to turn your beliefs and goals into a reality and successes.

When you try . . . . your actions work wonders.

The moment that you begin to believe in yourself and try, everything changes for the better and everything becomes possible.

You literally will amaze yourself at your results when you commit yourself to try and try again until you succeed. You will find that things become within your reach that once appeared out of your grasp. That doors open that once seemed to be closed to you.

When you try . . . . is taking the path of possibilities. Sitting and waiting is the path of the status quo and getting more of what we have been getting.

What makes the difference . . . . is the act of trying.

You can wait for success to find you . . . . or you can be proactive and go out and create your success. The attitude I will try will drive you to push a little longer and a little harder.

Believe that you can succeed and you will find that when you try – it works wonders in your life.

It Takes Courage to Say No

It Takes Courage to Say No
“Have the courage to say no.
Have the courage to face the truth.
Do the right thing because it is right.
These are the magic keys to living your life with integrity.”
W. Clement Stone 1902 – 2002, Businessman, Philanthropist,
 Self Help Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

It takes courage to say no . . . . . . . . and to do the right thing

If you do things that don’t feel right, you’ll find that after you do them that what you were feeling was right.

It’s easy to go against your instincts. In situations like this you should follow and your instincts and do what’s right.

If it doesn’t feel right to you it’s not . . . . follow your instincts.

Do the right things for the right reasons . . . . and do them with integrity and you find yourself on the right path.

Doing what’s right is more important than doing what’s politically correct. Doing what’s politically correct is compromising your personal integrity . . . . and moves you in the wrong direction.

Doing what’s politically correct . . . . and not doing what’s right will have a negative affect on a persons reputation.

There are times to move forward . . . . and to take curtain actions and there are times to have the courage to say no.

Overtime, people will judge us our integrity and by our actions.

Act from integrity and do the right thing and it takes courage to say no . . . . when it’s the right thing to do.

Color Your Thoughts

Color Your Thoughts
“The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on
those things that are in line with your principles and can
bear the light of day. The content of your character
is your choice. Day by day what you do is
who you become.”
Heraclitus 535 BC – 475 BC, Pre-Socratic, Greek
Philosopher

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Color your thoughts

What we most often thing about becomes the foundation for our actions. Color your thoughts to support the achievement of your goals . . . . and your actions that will move you in the direction of your goals.

Character is formed quietly in your thoughts, and that character comes to the surface and is perpetrated in your thoughts in your actions. Color your thoughts to a reflection of the person that you want to be . . . .and your character will become your calling card.

Character takes a lifetime to develop . . . . and is in a continued state evolving.

Your character is one of your most prized resources that will guild your decisions and your choices.  It’s an internal guidance system that let’s you know when your off course and gives you’re the insight to get back on course.

A person with character will become a leader in their chosen field . . . . and the person character becomes an enormous resource for the person in achieving their goals.

When you color your thoughts you’re painting a portrait of your future as you want it be in your mind. Your thoughts create the inspiration and the road map to achieve a full life.

A Matter of Preparation
“Luck is what happens when preparation
meets opportunity.”
Seneca, Roman Philosopher 1BC-AD 65

As I see it. . . . . . . .

A matter of preparation

There is an old saying “that the harder you work . . . . the luckier you get.”

That saying is true to a point. Hard work certainly can open doors and create opportunities . . . . but hard work by itself will not carry us over the finish line.  When we combine hard work with working productively with focused activities the likelihood of successful results is greatly increased.

Before your activities become productive you have to prepare yourself to achieve successful results. Plunging into activities without preparation can become a recipe for disaster of wasting the opportunities . . . . . and becoming a total misplacement of your efforts and a waste of your time.

Successful results are not a matter of luck. Successful results are created in the preparation by those who plan for their success . . . . and then work hard to achieve it. The people who have prepared themselves for success and work at it will seem to find luck on their success journey.

When you take on a task that you have prepared yourself for and apply a health dose of hard work you’ll find yourself becoming lucky.

Success becomes a matter of preparation . . . . when you have prepared yourself to meet your opportunities . . . . your will find them and make the most out of them.

Focus on Successfully Achieving Your Goals
“Success is steady progress toward one’s personal goals.”
Jim Rohn 1930 - 2009, American Author, Motivational
Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Focus on successfully achieving your goals

Your goals are your vision of for future as you want it to be. The goals you establish are the mile makers on your success journey . . . . and a way to measure your forward progress. It also gives your success journey direction and a way to monitor yourself to ensure that you are on course to achieve your goals.

In realty your success journey moves at a difference pace at difference times. Some days you will take a giant leap forward, other days it may be a baby step. While other days you may not make any noticeable progress all.

A key to your goals is to keep your eyes on the prize . . . . and not to become distracted by the pace. Success is not always achieved by the person that moves the fastest. You will find that a steady pace in the direction of your goals will keep you moving in the right direction.

Focus on the direction of your success journey not the pace.

Having a successful journey and achieving your goals comes in reaching your desired outcome. Focus on successfully achieving your goals . . . . and you are focusing on a successful future.

imagination. The must see things as in a vision,
a dream of the whole thing.”

As in Imagineering everything becomes possible and innervation takes root . . . . and begins to blossom.

Your vision is the beginning of your business and your business planning gives your business direction. Your imagination stretches your thinking and the possibilities for what the business can become.

When Things Get Tight the Tide Will Turn
“When you get into a tight place and everything goes
against you till it seems you could not hold on a
minute longer, never give up then, for that is just
the place and time that the tide will turn.”
Harriet Beecher Stowe 1811 – 1896, Abolitionist, Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

When things get tight the tide will turn

We will encounter times in your life that the things around you become overwhelming. . . . they will feel like an unrelenting tide sweeping into your life. They will seem that out of control and you will not to be able to overcome them.

In moments like those you may feel that it would be far easier to retreat and push back away from your goals and dreams. In reality it may be easier to push back then push forward.

But you will find that by pushing back, things will not improve. What you would find is that you have surrendered your goals and dreams for a false sense of short term comfort.

You will also find success in life is not achieved by surrendering but in standing firm in your resolve to push forward through the challenging times in your life and to remain standing.

Every storm will pass with time. You may not come through the storm without some bumps and bruises, but they will soon heal and you will find ourselves still standing.

What remains important as you whether the storms in your life, is to keep your goals and dreams as your beacon to guide you through the turbulences that you encounter.

The storms in your life can turn you away from your goals and dreams, with your persistence the tide will turn to your favor. It becomes your choice to remain on course to achieve your goals and dream.

When things get tight the tide will turn . . . . when you make the choice to change it.

It’s Not the Size of the Opportunity

It’s Not the Size of the Opportunity
“Jumping at several small opportunities
may get us there more quickly
than waiting for one big one
to come along.”
Hugh Allen, author

As I see it . . . . . . .

It’s not the size of the opportunity

It not size of the opportunity that’s as important . . . . it’s what you do with an opportunity that will make all the difference.

Jump on the small opportunities with the passion to turn them into big opportunities.

Your biggest opportunities often seem insignificant at the time. It’s not until you begin to seize the moment and the opportunities do they become extraordinary . . . . and have a positive impact on your business and your personal success.

Be willing to jump on the opportunities regardless of their size. In doing so you’ll create opportunities that you can be turned into a breakthrough opportunity that has the potential to propel you forward in the direction of your goals.

Create a mindset of continuously looking for opportunities, and the opportunities will begin to find you.

Don’t wait for the big opportunities; jump on the small opportunities that you find. The ones that will build forward momentum that you can turn into the fuel for your success journey.

It’s not the size of the opportunity . . . . it’s what you do with the opportunity that makes the difference.

Believe That Today Belongs to You

Believe That Today Belongs to You
“All that is necessary to break the spell of
uncertainty and frustration is this:
Act as if it were impossible to fail.”
Dorothea Brande, writer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Believe that today belongs to you

Believe and act as if it’s impossible to fail

Start your day with positive self-talk.  As you start each day look into the mirror and repeat the following affirmation with passion several times until your affirmation becomes your passion.

“Today is my day - - and it’s belongs to me. I can stretch my limits to max and I will success.”

Believe that day belongs to you. Prepare yourself to make the day your day . . . . and invest your time in the activities that will ensure success.

Your affirmation will become a personal belief . . . . and an expectation of what will be.

What you believe, you become. What you achieve will never be higher then what you believe that you will achieve.

Start everyday with positive affirmation that the day belongs to you . . . . and if you believe it, you can achieve it.

Believe and act as if it’s impossible to fail and then support that belief in your activities . . . . and believe that today belongs to you.

Teach a Person HOW to Think
“Teach the young people how to think,
not what to think.”
             Sidney Sugarman, Federal Judge

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Teach a person HOW to think

There power is in teaching the person how to think . . . . not what to think.

Telling the person what to think prevents the persons mind from expanding . . . . and becoming creative. It will hinder their self-confidence and personal growth. More importantly it prevents the person from fully developing their thinking . . . . and decision making capacity.

Teaching a person how to think helps them to create personal power and self-confidence. They believe in themselves and that they can think their way through any situation . . . . and make good decisions. They will challenge themselves to think out of the box . . . . and to make the tough decisions.

The person, who believes in their thinking . . . . believes in themselves and that confidence shows.

Teach a person How to think creates an awaking in the person . . . . and opens their life to a new world of opportunities.

Your Life is a Life of Choices

Your Life is a Life of Choices
“Wealth is in the ability to fully experience life.”
Henry David Thoreau 1817 – 1862, Author, Poet,
Abortionist, Naturalist, Critic, Historian

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Your life is a life of choices

Your life is what you make it . . . . make it a life to where achieve your goals . . . . and life your dreams.

Live a full and rich life . . . . and enjoy your success journey.

The true richness in your life comes in making the choice of living a full life and productive life . . . . and through experiencing life.

Your life is a life of choices . . . . to where your life can decline into a life of making a living or you can make the commitment to make your life a life of richness.

Create a crystal clear vision of what’s important to you . . . . and what you want to attract into your life. Your life will become a mirror image of your vision and your choices that you make in your life.  Your vision creates magnet for you to live your dreams. And your choices determine the direction that your life takes.

You live the life in your vision of what you want it to be . . . . and your life is what your choices make it.

Let Your Words be as Soft as Snowflakes

Let Your Words be as Soft as Snowflakes
“Kind words can be short and easy to speak,
but their echoes are truly endless.”
Mother Teresa, humanitarian

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Let your words be as soft as snowflakes

Let your words fall on the listener ears as lightly as snow flakes falling in the night . . . . and your words will be absorbed as they were meant to be.

Your words once spoken can never be recalled from the listener’s mind, they will be carried in their thoughts . . . . and may be there forever.

You can have your words can fall softly as snow . . . . or fall like a rock, whatever you do your words will make a lasting impression.

As a professional you are a professional communicator . . . . and it’s important to understand the effects your words will have on people.

You should listen to understand the other person . . . . and speak with a purpose. By listening to the person they are giving you the insight on how you can assist or help them to fill full their needs.

Before you speak pause for a few moments to understand what the person said to you . . . . and to give you a few moments to prepare your response.

As professional communicators choose your words wisely as they will create a lasting impression that may last forever . . . . and you will be judged by your words that you leave behind.

As a business professional and communicator your words will make the difference between creating a successful business relationship generating referrals . . . . or missed business opportunities.

Let your words be as soft as snowflakes . . . . and let them gently fall on the listener ears and the words that you leave behind will leave a positive impression on the listener.

You Are . . . .

You Are . . . .
“You are what you think.
You are what you go for.
You are what you do.”
Bob Richards, Olympic Gold Medal Winner

As I see it. . . . . . . .

You are . . . .

You are the person in your thoughts. How and what you think about yourself becomes the foundation for who you become. Your mind is a powerful computer and how you think programs the computer of your mind and will determine who you are.

You can program your mind with positive thoughts and aspirations that will create the programming . . . . for a positive direction for your life.

You are who you believe you are. In programming your mind you create the expectations for what you will accomplish and the level of success that you will achieve.

You first put yourself in the winner’s circle of life in your thought . . . . and over time you act out those thought until you are standing in the winner’s circle.

You will become what you do. To get into the winner’s circle you have commit yourself to the activities that will support your vision of success. Those activities are not a one time endeavor there is a commitment in time, consistency of effort and excellence . . . . to reach the winner’s circle.

You will become what strive to be. What you strive to become is a subconscious goal. Your beliefs, your thinking and our actions all will become focused on your goals . . . . and you will find yourself moving in that direction of your goals.

You are who we believe you are.

You are . . . . Your beliefs . . . . your thinking . . . . and your actions all will become focused on your goals . . . . and you will find yourself moving in that direction and becoming that person

Winner’s Think and Act in the Affirmative

Winner’s Think and Act in the Affirmative
“The winners in life think constantly
in terms of ‘I can, I will.’
Losers on the other hand, concentrate
their thoughts on what they should have done
or what they don’t do.”
Denis Waitley, Self-Help Author and Motivational Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Winner’s think and act in the affirmative

Winner’s position their success in their thoughts of “I can,” “I will.” A winner knows before they begin any activity that they will prevail . . . . and they will prepare themselves to win.

Winners have an unmistakable air of confidence . . . . and it shows in their actions . . . . and in the way they handle the tough decision that they have to make.

Winners are positive thinkers that prepare themselves to win.

There is a degree of separation that your see in winners, they think and act in the affirmative and when they act they act with a purpose. They look at problems and they focus their thoughts and actions on the solutions.

When a winner encounters a failures or setbacks they will quickly evaluate the condition and work towards finding the best solution in resolving the condition.  Winners will look at their experience as a stepping stone on their success journey . . . . and move forward to their next opportunity.

Winners learn from their failures and setbacks . . . .but they don’t dwell on them.

Winner’s think and act in the affirmative . . . . make the most of their day and plan for a successful future.

Stretch and Grow Your Possibilities

Stretch and Grow Your Possibilities
“If you play it safe in life you’re decided that
you don’t want to grow anymore.”
Shirley Hufstedler, First US Secretary of Education

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Stretch and grow your possibilities

The possibilities are there for you to stretch for . . . . But they may not be within your grasp. When you want the possibilities bad enough you will have to stretch yourself to reach them.

To reach the possibilities in your life you will have to stretch yourself outside of the safety of your comfort zone. Stretching yourself outside of your comfort zone will take a leap and faith and courage to step into uncharted territory.

As you seek out the possibilities it easy to see the low hanging fruit and pick them.

Achieving success is not following the crowd in picking the low hanging fruit. It found in doing what other are unwilling to do, and in stretching yourself  to grow your potential and reaching for the fruit that’s out of your reach.

Moving out of your comfort zone moves you out of the status quo . . . . and into the possibility zone of new opportunities. As you pursue the possibilities you will become a new person and you will find yourself growing to new levels of success.

Don’t wait for success . . . . stretch and grow your possibilities . . . . and you will reach new and greater levels of success as you grow as a person.

We grow old by deserting our ideas.

winkles the soul.”

Professionals Know What to Do and What to Ignore

Professionals Know What to Do and What to Ignore
“An expert is someone who has succeeded in making
decisions and judgments simpler through knowing
what to pay attention to and what to ignore.”
Edward de Bono, Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Professionals know what to do and what to ignore

You do things everyday in your life . . . . and you do them without much thought . . . . they are ingrained habits.

A negative or poor habit weights your success journey down . . . . and creates a drag on your forward progress to achieve your objectives and in your career.

Professionals know what’s required to achieve success.

They will focus their daily activities on doing the most important things

. . . . This will create the forward momentum to accomplish their objectives and  that will keep them on track . . . . and moving in the right direction.

Successful people also understand the value of their time. Not only will they focus on the most important things that have to be done. But they are aware what has to be ignored in order to maximize the use of their time.

To maximize their time they will have to take a realistic look at their activities and eliminate the old unproductive habits. The old habits will have to replace with new activities that with form the basis of forming new and more productive habits that will help them to maximize the use of their time and to accelerate their success journey.

There is no one single thing that determines a person success but there are number of things that can derail a person’s success journey. The improper use of time can become a major road block in a person’s success journey that prevents them from reaching their potential.

You See Your Life Through Your Thinking

You See Your Life Through Your Thinking
“Nothing is good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”
William Shakespeare 1564 -1616, English Poet and
Playwright

As I see it. . . . . . . .

You see your life through your thinking

Your thoughts become so powerful . . . . that they can shape your life.  You can see your future in your thoughts . . . . one where you fulfill your goals and dreams. You can see yourself living the life that success can bring.

The thoughts are so powerful they occupy the deep resources of your thinking. Those thoughts become the driving force in your life . . . . and in your daily activities.

When you enter your day with the passion to pursue the vision in your thoughts . . . . you have the capacity to turn your vision into a reality.

You see your life through your thinking . . . . and what you think about most often you will become.

How you think is a habit . . . . and that habit is developed over time.

If you want to change your thinking you have to replace it with a new thought. The new thought can start as an affirmation or a vision of the future as you want it to be. Put the new thought into you mind and focus you’re thinking around it and visualize the new thought. In less then a month you thought will reprogram your thinking. Your new thought will now become a new habit in your thinking.

You see your life through your thinking . . . . and your life becomes a mirror image of how you think.
