Motivational Power Quote

Love Is Like a River That Flows Into Your Life
Love, like a river, will cut a new path
whenever it meets an obstacle.”
Crystal Middlemas, Writer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Love is like a river that flows into your life

Love flows through many twists and turns . . . . and like the river there will be various degrees of depths. A river flow can become a trickle . . . . or it can accelerate like a rapids.

Navigating a river like love can create an enormous source of varied emotions . . . . . One that lifts a person’s spirits to the highest of heights or drag them down to the lowest of lows.

Love can make a person’s day fly by when there with the right person . . . . or make there day seem to go on forever when they not.

Love can make a person feel that their . . . . walking on water or their carrying an anchor.

Much like navigating the river love is a journey. To fully enjoy the journey you have to be willing . . . . to share the experience of the journey with a very special person.

Love is like a river that flows into your life . . . . You will have to weather the changing condition that you encounter. You have to commit yourself to journey and have the strength to endure the journey together. Love has the strength to be able to weather the test of time and to cut a new path through the obstacles that confront you.

Adapt to Meet The Market Demands

Motivational Power Quote

Adapt to Meet The Market Demands
The most common cause of executive failure is inability or
unwillingness to change with the demands of a new position.
The executive who keeps on doing what he has done before
is almost bound to fail.”
Peter Drucker, Author, Management Expert

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The only constant thing in life . . . . is change.

Your Habits Create Your Character

Motivational Power Quote

Your Habits Create Your Character
Our character is basically a composite of our habits.
because they are consistent, often unconscious patterns,
they constantly, daily, express our character.”
Stephen R. Covey 1932 - 2012, Author, Businessman,
Keynote Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Your habits create your character

Whatever you consistently do . . . . will become a pattern in your life and become a habit . . . . and our habits become the foundation of your character.

Your character is formed in your habits . . . . and you demonstrate your character through your daily actions.

To form a strong character you have to have a direction to develop the habits . . . . and your standards and values becomes the foundation for your habits.

Your character becomes ingrained into your personally and becomes a way of life. You will routinely demonstrate your character in behavior without a conscious thought . . . . because they have been ingrained into your sub-conscious mind.

A person lives their character as part of their moral fiber and their character becomes their calling card. People can’t fake character, a person will either have it or they don’t.

Your habits create your character . . . . and habits will be formed in your choices. A person is a reflection of their character and their actions are a mirror image of their character.

Where Are Going and Are We There Yet?

Motivational Power Quote

Where Are You Going and Are We There Yet?
As we speed along this road to the destination called who
we hope to be, I can’t help but to whine, ‘are we there yet.”’
Sarah Jessica Parker, actress

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Where are you going and are we there yet?

Becoming who you hope to be . . . . is neither a sprint to the finish line nor a fast fix. It takes determination and a commitment to become a little better each day on your success journey . . . . until you become the person that you have hoped to become.

Whining about what you don’t have or about not being who you want to be yet . . . . will not accelerate our journey to be the person that you want to be. When you’re whining you’re diverting your energy and focusing on what you don’t have . . . . rather than focusing on what you want to achieve and who you want to be.

Where are you going and are we there yet? You may much closer then you think you are to your destination. When you remain focused on the big picture and stay committed to achieving your objectives. Apply the efforts that are necessary to be who you hoped to be and you will find that you’re closer to bring that person.

It’s Only Impossible Until Someone Does It

Motivational Power Quote

It’s Only Impossible Until Someone Does It
The Wright Brothers flew right though the smoke screen
of impossibility.”
Charles F. Kettering 1876 - 1958, American Inventor,
Founder of Delco

As I see it. . . . . . . .

It’s impossible only until someone does it

On December 17, 1903 in Kitty Hawk North Carolina the Wright Brothers . . . . accomplished the impossible. On that day their flying machine lifted off the ground and into the air. It was the first flight of a fixed winged aircraft in the history of the world to successfully fly.

That day the impossible . . . . become possible.

It’s impossible to run a sub four minute mile. It was believed that if a person tried to run a mile in less then four minute their heart would bust as a result of the stress of trying to run that fast.

On May 6, 1954 Roger Bannister stepped onto Iffley Road Track at Oxford University in England . . . . and ran the first sub four minute mile in 3:59.4 minutes. What was considered to be impossible became possible . . . . and soon turned routine.

For ages people look at stars and dreamed about reaching them but everyone knew that it was impossible.

As a visionary President John F. Kennedy challenged a nation to put a man on the noon by the end of the decade of the 1960’s. The historic moment came on July 20, 1969 . . . . as American Astronaut Neil Armstrong stepped from the Eagle landing craft onto the surface of the moon in full view of the world watching on television.

On that historic day with the efforts of the America aerospace team took the impossible . . . . and made it possible.

It’s only impossible until someone does it.

You can turn an impossible into a possible when you become committed to break down the old barriers to what’s impossible in your minds. You have to dedicate yourself and your efforts to successfully make what was impossible in the past a possible and a success story.

Turning an impossible into a possible takes . . . . a possibility thinker putting their vision into a plan of action and taking the actions to achieve their vision. Remember it’s impossible only until someone does it and breaks down the barriers to do it.

Being of Service to Others

Motivational Power Quote

Being of Service to Others
True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic.
It is the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost,
but the urge to serve other at whatever cost.”
Arthur Ashe 1943 - 1993, Professional Tennis Champion

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Being of service to others

The people who are willing to be of service to others . . . . are the real hero’s in life. They are people who are willing to step up . . . . and to what’s required in the service of other.

It’s not about personal gain. Or for the personal recognition because so many times the only person that knows what has been done . . . . is the person that has stepped up and served.

When the opportunity arises to be of service to others reach back into your inner resources . . . . and extend a helping hand.

When you have the urge to be of service to others . . . . step up and take the challenge to help others. Your efforts will touch the people lives in so many ways. You will positively change the life of untold people . . . . and in the end you will also be helping yourself.

Being of service to others . . . . is an opportunity of a lifetime.

Motivational Power Quote

Know When To Change Your Course
No matter how far you have travelled down a wrong
road, turn back.”
Turkish Proverb

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Know when to change your course

There will be times that you have committed yourself to follow a course of action where you have invested . . . . your time, energy and resources to follow that path. After you have expended a massive effort to follow that path . . . . you may find yourself headed in the wrong direction.

The question becomes what do you do?

When you have determined that you are on the wrong path . . . . and it will be impossible to achieve your objectives . . . . and you know have to change your course.

Unless you adjust your course you will continue to invest your resources to continue to go down the wrong path. You will see yourself moving farther and farther away from your goals.

You have to be very careful about going down the wrong path because not only will you be wasting your time and resources it will also be effecting your emotions. The farther you go down the wrong path the more emotionally attached to the journey even with the knowledge that you’re moving in the wrong direction.

You will have to dig deep within yourself and relay on making the right decision . . . .  and to have the courage to adjust your course and let go of the past. Other wise you will expend your resources and emotional capital on a dead end journey.

Adjusting your course is not giving up on your goals. What you’re doing is adjusting your strategies to achieve your goals.

There is more then one way to reach your goals. Adjusting your course is creating a plan B and effectively implementing that plan to achieve your original target by moving in a new direction.

You have to know when to change course your and adjust. When that time has come, take bold action . . . . and change your course. Your adjustments will get you back onto the right path with renewed energy and move you in the direction of your goals.

Anger Creates Bitterness

Motivational Power Quote

Anger Creates Bitterness
When Anger rises think of the consequences.”
Confucius 551 BC – 479 BC, Chinese Teacher, Editor,
Politician, Philosopher

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Anger creates bitterness

Anger is the killer of careers . . . . relationships . . . . and a person’s success.

People are not comfort being around people that have bursts of anger. Most people will try stay away from that person whenever it’s possible

. . . . and in time they will push everyone away from them.

When you find people in leadership positions that are prone to fits of anger you will find that the people who work for them . . . . will never work or achieve their peak potential. Nor will they take the risks that are needed to succeed in their environment.

The lenders anger stymies innovation . . . . creativity . . . . risk taking and the growth of the company.

The person that has fits of anger is also a blamer . . . . and they will blame anything and everything of the people around them or anyone else they can find. They will not take any personal responsibility for their actions or for anything that goes wrong under their watch or in their life.

As a result of the leader bursts of anger everyone around the leader . . . .  goes into a shell of protection and function far below their full capacity.

A person that routinely demonstrates anger becomes self-destructive to themselves and to the people around them. They will limit the level of their person success and what the teams achieves. It will become increasing difficult for leader to hold onto what they have achieved as a result of their personally.

Anger creates bitterness and resentment . . . . with everyone that the person comes into contact with. They also will have very little support from friends, family or business associates and eventually their anger will become the weight that sinks them.

Motivational Power Quote

Take Responsibility for Your Failures and Successes
As a leader, you have to take responsibility for your our

leadership will get better. And in time you will earn the
right to lead on the level you deserve.”
John C. Maxwell, Leadership Expert and Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Take responsibility for your failures and successes

Over a lifetime you will experience the emotions from . . . . the highest of highs with your successes. And yet there will be days where you experience . . . . the lowest of lows from a failure.

With each experience that you have . . . . there is an opportunity to learn.

The lessons from your life experiences become invaluable lessons that can be applied to move your careers forward to new heights and in the direction of success.

When you can effectively apply the lessons of both your failures and successes and . . . . you’re applying real world lessons from your past to build a better and more successful future.

Begin With the End In Mind

Motivational Power Quote

Begin With the End In Mind
You read a book from beginning to end. You run a business
the opposite way. You start with the end, and then you do
everything you must to reach it.”
Harold Geneen, Former CEO of ITT

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Begin with the end in mind

As with any journey to be successful you have to know you’re destination . . . .  in other words you have to begin your journey with the end in mind.

When you have your destination you have . . . . a clear path to follow to reach your chosen destination.

Successful People do It

Motivational Power Quote

Successful People do It
Today’s preparation determines tomorrow’s achievement.”
Source Unknown

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Successful people do it

Rock bands do it . . . .  athletes do it . . . . successful people do it . . . . and you should do it too.

Successful people don’t leave their success to chance . . . . they prepare themselves in advance to succeed.

The person that performs at a high level in their chosen profession . . . . performs at that level as a result of their commitment to preparation. Successful people prepare themselves to perform with excellences.

It has been said that practice makes you better which is a falsehood. Practice makes what you’re practicing permanent. Practice preformed with excellence . . . . makes you better.

You have to prepare yourself for your future success. Preparation done with a purpose and preformed with excellence is preparing you for greater success.

How you perform in life . . . . is a reflection of your preparation for your future.

When you see a rock band rocking the house, they didn’t just walk on stage . . . . and say lets play something. They are prepared themselves for the concert with many hours intense practice until what they are doing on stage was repeatedly done in preparation with excellences.

A professional athlete who walks onto field prepared to play the game. They have prepared themselves for the game . . . . and have played that game over and over again in their mind with excellences. They are total prepared for the game before they ever take the first step onto the field.

A successful people know what they have to do to win the game. They have a plan B if the game plan is not working.

When successful people step onto their business environment they step onto it . . . . with the confidence that they are prepared to be successful and they have prepared themselves for the contingencies.

Success people do it . . . . rock bands do it . . . . athletes do it . . . . and you should do it too. Successful people prepare themselves with excellence for a successful future.

Two Group of People

Motivational Power Quote

Two Group of People
My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds
of people: those who do the work and those who take the
credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there
was much less competition.”
Indira Gandhi, Indian Prime Minister

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Two group of people

You see them in your lives every day . . . .  there is a group of people who go out and get the job done without looking for fanfare. They will do what has to be done when it needs to be done . . . . because it has to be done.

There is another group of people who looks to take the credit for what is done well . . . . and disassociate themselves from anything that is not done successful.

Group one are the movers and shakers. They focus on getting things done . . . . and they’re not looking for recognition. These are the people that other people will seek out when . . . .  a job has to be done and done well.

Group two marches to the beat of a different drummer . . . . they do very little and are looking for credit for what other people accomplish. People in this group can scam the system for awhile . . . . but over time they will be found out for what they don’t do. They talk a good story but do very little.

The people in group one will be appreciated by the group of people that they surround themselves with for someone . . . . that can be counted on and a valued resource.

There are two group of people . . . . one that your can count on to get things done . . . . and those who that try to talk a good game and apply very little effort and gets very little done.

Obstacles are Tolls You Pay on Your Success Journey

Motivational Power Quote

Obstacles are Tolls You Pay on Your Success Journey
Look upon every obstacle as part payment towards success.”
Peter Drucker, Management Expert

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Obstacles are tolls you pay on your success journey

You will encounter many experiences on your success journey some that will move closer to your goals and some that will take in the wrong direction . . . . and further away from your goals. A successful person will look at their experiences as stepping stone into a brighter . . . . and more successful future.

Every experience can be turned in to a learning experience to broaden your prospective . . . . and open your minds to greater opportunities.

Your positive experiences will give you the insight into what methods and strategies have worked the best for you and have contributed to your success. Those experiences will also give you a great starting point to move forward to the next level of your success journey.

There will also be times when you will . . . . face challenges, setbacks and obstacles as you are moving in the direction of our goals.

How you respond to the obstacles that you encounter in your life will have a major impact on the direction that . . . . your success journey takes and with what accuracy you will have in hitting the target and your goals.

Obstacles are those things that can take our eye off your goals and sidetrack our success journey. Look at your obstacles as learning experiences. You will learn what not to do in the future . . . . what you have to learn to do better. And what you will have to adjust to achieve your goals and the desired outcome. You will also learn what people support you and your success journey and what people to avoid.

An obstacle can be looked at as brick wall with no way to scale it or to go around it. Or you can look at an obstacle as a temporary condition and to find the best way to get through it . . . . around it . . . .or over the obstacle.

When you look at obstacle as a learning experience you come to understand that obstacles are tolls that we pay along the way of your success journey to get to the next level of success.

Once you recognize that obstacles are tolls you pay on your success journey you will look at them in an entirely difference light. I believe that with each toll that you paid on your success journey that you learned to become more effective and grow as a person the pursuit of your goals.

Enthusiasm is the Passion to Succeed

Motivational Power Quote

Enthusiasm is the Passion to Succeed
Enthusiasm is a good engine,
but it needs intelligence for a driver.”
Author unknown

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Enthusiasm is the passion to succeed

Your enthusiasm is the gusto that drives you. It will drive you to extend yourself
. . . . to reach for bigger goals and greater success.

It’s the fire in the pit of our stomach . . . . it’s gets you up early in the morning and keeps you moving forward when other people have stopped.

Enthusiasm is the passion for continued incremental improvement. To where you become a little better today, and surpass that level tomorrow . . . . it’s the striving for excellence in your chosen profession.

The thin slice of success is in your enthusiasm. In time that thin slice of success will grow into . . . . a vast span of difference to where people who want to compete with you will have to try to catch up to you.

Enthusiasm will get you started and keep you emotionally on the success track. To maximize the benefits of your enthusiasm you have to use it with a purpose and intelligently.

Use your enthusiasm to keep you . . . . focused on the motivation to achieve your objective and goals. Your enthusiasm will keep your passion for success burning bright and it will show you the way.

When You’re Being Pushed to the Wall

Motivational Power Quote

When You’re Being Pushed to the Wall
Sometimes being pushed to the wall gives you the
momentum necessary to get you over it!”
Peter de Jeger, consultant and speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

When you’re being pushed to the wall

You’ll have a choice . . . . to make.

You can remain where you’re standing . . . . and hope the wall doesn’t collapse on you. In standing there is no progress . . . . . and in time you find yourself falling into frustration and despair and giving up.

Or you can choose you use the momentum of being pushed up against the wall to your favor . . . . and use it as a spring board to get over the wall.

What you do when you’re being pushed to the wall will . . . . be determined by your attitude.

With a negative attitude a person will look at the situation . . . .  and respond with “why me.”  You’ll see the situation as hopeless . . . . and as result you are very likely to quit.

A person with a positive attitude will look at their situation . . . . and find a way to get over the wall because they know there is an opportunity on the other side.

When you’re being pushed to the wall . . . . find the best way to get over the wall and look for the opportunity.

Remain Committed To Your Dreams

Motivational Power Quote

Remain Committed To Your Dreams
Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your
approach. It’s the end your after.”
Anthony Robbins, Author and Personal
Performance Expert

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Remain committed to your dreams . . . . and in your decision to achieve them

Turn your dreams into a passion . . . . one that burns so brightly in your thoughts that it will light up the darkest of nights and pull you into the light.

Create the vision of yourself living your dreams in your mind until that vision becomes part of your being . . . . and you are living them.

Make the decision that you’re committed to make your dreams become a reality
. . . . and then pursue your dreams with passion and massive action.

A mind can not distinguish between what is real . . . . and what is imaged. What you image and believe to be true the mind will see as true. Plant the seeds of you success in your mind . . . . and create the activities that will continually move you closer to your vision and your dreams.

Remain committed to your dreams . . . . and your decision to achieve them. But remain flexible in your approach in achieving your dreams and the desired outcome.
