Two Simple Truths

Motivational Power Quote

Two Simple Truths

“The ultimate goal should be
doing your best and enjoying it.”
Peggy Fleming, 1968 Olympics gold medalist,
Grenoble, France

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Two simple truths . . .

Make it your goal to do the best you can do; with the things you do.

When you commit to doing your best you take a step toward becoming an exceptional person. You will be seen by others as a person of commitment and someone that can be counted on.

Your best will shows up in your performance and your results.

When you combine the strength of doing your best with enjoying what you do, you create an unstoppable force for success.

The two simple truths is to do your best and enjoy what you do; will make all the difference in your results.

make money become successful,
but that successful people attract money,
they being success to what they do.”
Dr. Wayne Dyer, self development author and speaker

It’s Takes Discipline to Follow Your Dreams

Motivational Power Quote

It’s Takes Discipline to Follow Your Dreams

“Discipline is remembering
what you want.”
David Campbell

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Its takes discipline to follow your dreams.

I the winter of 1972 Joe Paterno was completing this seventh year as the football coach at Penn State University; when he received a telephone call.

The call was from Bill Sullivan the president and principle owner of the New England Patriots of the National Football League.

Mr. Sullivan wanted to speak with Joe about coaching the Patriots. Joe was offered $1.3 million dollars contract and a signing bonus of $100,000 to coach the team.

Joe spoke to his wife about leaving Penn State and coaching the Patriots. She told him to follow his heart and do what he wanted to do.

Paterno called Bill Sullivan and accepted the coaching position.

Later that night Joe wake up to find his wife sitting in a rocking chair crying.

Finding his wife crying caused Joe to do a lot of souls searching about his family and coaching career.

In the moment of truth Joe determined that his family was happy and had roots at Penn State and the community. He also loved college football, the schools environment and developing the players into men.

Joe called Bill Sullivan and declined the coaching position with the Patriots.

At that moment he gave up the opportunity to become an instant millionaire. He continued to follow his dream of coaching college football. He made the decision to put the happiness of his family over money.

Thirty-eight years has passed. Joe has never looked back he is still coaching at Penn State. He has become the most successful coach in college football history. Today Joe Paterno has won more games then any other coach collage football history.

I don’t know Joe’s finances, but it safe to say that today Joe is a millionaire, his family is happy and part of the community, and he has coached many outstanding men.

What you may not know is at the time that Joe Paterno turned down a $1.3 million contract and a signing bonus of $100,000, he was making $35,000 a year to coach Penn State.

Joe Paterno had the strength and discipline to follow his dream.

When it comes down to the moment of truth follow your dreams.

Stay Calm In Times of Stress

Motivational Power Quote

Stay Calm In Times of Stress

“Calmness is the cradle of power.”
Josiah Gilbert Holland

As I see it. . . . . . .
Stay calm in times of stress.

The person that stays calm in the time of stress stays in control.

The person that becomes reactive loses control and respect.

Calmness in a time of stress places the person in a power position.

The person that becomes combative loses power and weakens their position.

An example would be in negotiations the person that reminds calm and focused on the outcome has the power position in the negotiations and will negotiate successfully.

Remind calm for maximum impact.

Open Your Mind to Learning

Motivational Power Quote

Open Your Mind to Learning

“We can’t learn anything new
until we can admit that we
don’t already know everything.”
Erwin G. Hall

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Open your mind to learning.

There are times that we don’t have all the answers or that we don’t know everything.

It takes a brave person to admit what they don’t know everything and to say to themselves that they will need to learn new skills and find new answers to reach their maximum success levels.

The key to maximizing your success is to learn new skills, strategies and techniques.

We learn best when we open our minds to new concepts and ideals by admitting that we don’t know everything and freely except the new information as helping us on our success journey.

As you open your mind to learning your mind becomes a magnet for new information. That information becomes a resource for you to reach new heights and achievement.

Turn on Your Personal Energy

Motivational Power Quote

Turn on Your Personal Energy

“A “should” is a “have to”
with no teeth;
it is dead energy.”
Ruth Ross

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Turn on Your Personal Energy.

Turn your mind into your personal power source, the power of positive thinking.

When a “should” enters your thoughts, establish its level of importance and determine if you should turn it into a “have to.” If the “should” is of little value and you feel it is not important, eliminate it from your thinking.

If the “should” turns into a “have to” turn on your energy and take massive action to achieve a successful outcome.

A “should” is a weak thought without teeth, without a plan or without action. If we are not carful we can “should” ourselves to death.

A “have to” energizes our sprit and creates the purpose to achieve it.

Turn on your personal power and achieve your “have to.”

One of the Best and Quickest Ways to Succeed

Motivational Power Quote

One of the Best and Quickest Ways to Succeed

“It is literally true that you can succeed
best and quickest by helping others to succeed.”
Napoleon Hill, author, motivation speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .
One of the best and quickest ways to succeed is to focus on the big picture and to help others achieve what they want, and in that process they will successfully achieve their desired outcome.

Success will come to us in direct proportion with our ability in helping others get what they want and to help them succeed.

As we help others achieve success they will help us succeed.

People will relate more to us as givers than a taker and people are far more likely to help a giver.

Don’t Be a Bystander

Motivational Power Quote

Don’t Be a Bystander

“Thou shalt not be a victim.
Thou shalt not be a perpetrator. Above all,
thou shalt not be a bystander.”
Holocaust Museum, Washington D.C.

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Don’t be a bystander

Don’t be a bystander, is a power statement that can be apply to every aspect of our lives.

We will be faced with many choices in our lives, with many of our decisions having a major impact on us and our lives.

We should choose not to become a victim.

We should choose not to be a perpetrator to those who are weaker than us.

Under no circumstances should we ever choose to be a bystander.

A bystander, in both their business and personal life, allows the world to go by without their participation and accepts what happens to them and the outcome they are handed.

Never, never be a bystander, stand up, resist, be heard, do what’s necessary to be proactive and participate.

Behavior is a Window into the Person

Motivational Power Quote

Behavior is a Window into the Person

“You can’t talk your way out of
what you’ve behaved yourself into.”
Stephen R. Covey, author and speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Behavior is a window into the person.

Behavior is a choice, and your choices can be based on a number of things including integrity, moral values, character and habits.

People will judge us by what we do. They will judge us on our behavior far more than by what we say. Our behavior forms the way people will see us.

Based on the way people see us they will make a choice, if they trust us or if they will do business with us.

Poor or bad behavior sets up a negitive environment that we can’t talk our way out of. We own the results of our behavior.

We are on stage and will be judged by our behavior. Put your best foot forward and conduct yourself in a way you want others to see you.

Have your behavior lead the way on your success journey.
