Wisdom . . . .The Journey

Motivational Power Quote

Wisdom . . . .The Journey
“We don’t receive wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves
after a journey that no one can take for us or spare us.”
Marcel Proust, 1871-1922

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Wisdom . . . .The journey.

Wisdom is an inherent understanding of the right things to do at the right time and for the right reasons. It seeing the big picture and having the insight not only to see the picture and the prospective pieces but in seeing how all the pieces come together.

Wisdom is not something that we receive, wisdom is the knowledge and insight that we discover in our life’s journey that only we can take.

We gain our wisdom as we travel life’s roads with and open mind and the willingness to take our experiences and learn and prosper from them.

The road to wisdom is a journey that we have to take ourselves; no one can take that journey for us. Our wisdom will be developed as a result of the learning experiences on that journey.

Doing What’s Right When no One is Around

Motivational Power Quote

Doing What’s Right When no One is Around

“Integrity is doing the right thing,
ever if there is no chance
you would be caught doing
the wrong thing.”
David Cottrell, author, speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Doing what’s right when no one is around.

Doing the right thing is a choice, a choice about one’s integrity when there’s no one around watching what you’re doing.

One’s integrity should be non-negotiable. Integrity is part of our core values and who we are as a person.

There will be times that that we reach a crossroad were we can choose to compromise our integrity because no one will ever find out what we did. At that moment we are testing our integrity. A small compromise with our integrity changes our values and tarnishes our truthfulness with others and ourselves.

Maintaining your integrity and doing the right thing when no one is around, creates your reputation and is a foundation for continued success.

There will always be one person there no matter what you’re doing, and that person is you.

Be honesty with yourself in your thinking and do the right thing.

Lee J. Colin

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Change your situation with positive self-talk.

Positive self-talk is determined by the quality of our thinking and is reflected in our attitude, and is translated into our actions.

Use your self-talk to evaluate your situation and to find the best way to change the situation. Look for positive solutions in any situation that you find yourself in.

Don’t use your thinking or your words to describe your situation. That thinking and description focuses on the negative and the problem not the solutions.

Focus on moving past the current situation creating a positive path to change and to move forward.

Stay focused on your solutions with positive self-talk.

“Be who you are and
say what you feel,

don’t matter, and
those who matter
don’t mind.”
Dr. Seuss (Via Elena)

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Be who you are . . . . and say what you feel should be said.

Say the things that you feel should said. Those that don’t matter don’t care what you have to say, and will have the same reaction no matter what you say.

Those who matter in your life won’t mind what you say.

You Can if You Think You Can

Motivational Power Quote

You Can if You Think You Can
“It’s the moment you think you can’t
that you realize you can.”
Celine Dion, entertainer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

You can if you think you can

There will be a moment where we think we can’t.

In that very moment all our fears and self-doubt will surface.

What happens next will be determined on how you have prepared your mind to think.

The position thinker knows with certainty that they can and will move forward with self-confidence.

The negative thinker becomes trapped in their thinking and believes that they can’t.

Weather you can or you can’t is first determined in your thinking.

Believe you can and you will.

What Matters is What We Do

Motivational Power Quote

What Matters is What We Do
“What we think or what
we know or what we believe is,
in the end of little consequence.
The only consequence is what we do.”
John Ruskin, social thinker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

What matters is what we do

What we think will make or break us. A positive thinking builds the solid foundation for a successful and happy life.

What we know gives us the ability to use that knowledge in our daily life.

What we believe is the basis for what actions we take.

They all are of little consequence if we don’t use them. What will separate us from the competition is what we do.

To succeed we have to take positive action.

Two Primary Choices about Conditions

Motivational Power Quote

Two Primary Choices about Conditions

“There are two primary choices in life;
to accept conditions as they exist,
or accept the responsibility . . . .
for changing them..”
Denis Waitley, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Two primary choices about conditions . . . .

The conditions in our live are about choices.

We can’t always control what happens to us; we have choice the on what to do once the condition occurs.

There are two primary choices once the condition occurs.

One of our choices is accept the condition as a fact that it’s out of our control to resolve or to do nothing. In this case the out come will either be controlled by other people or by the circumstances of the conditions. We lose all control.

We can take a proactive approach to the conditions, accept the responsibility to change the circumstances and proactively move forward and determine our outcome.

Motivational Power Quote

Protect Your Most Precious Resource

“We cannot waste time.
We can only waste ourselves.”
George Matthew Adams, author

As I see it. . . . . . .

Protect your most precious resource.

Time can be either used effectively, or wasted.

When we use or time effectively, our time becomes invested and will come back to us with a dividend.

What misunderstood about time is when it misused we consider that time as wasted and it is. In reality one of most precious resource is ourselves. When we waste time we waste our life. We can never go back and relive a wasted moment or a wasted day they are gone forever.

that tells you
it’ going to be a butterfly.”
Buckminster Fuller, American architect, author, futurist, visionary

When you see a caterpillar you don’t see a butterfly. You see a bug that moves very slowly and can’t off the ground. It’s not until the caterpillar spins there cocoon do they emerge as a butterfly and spread their winds.

We are like the butterfly, it not until we spin a cocoon of commitment to change will we be able to emerge as a butterfly and spread our wings. Those winds will lift us to new heights of success and fulfillment.

The Doors of Opportunities are all Around Us

“People wait for opportunity
to come along . . . .
Yet it is there every morning.”
Dennis the Menace

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The doors of opportunities are all around us.

A person with vision will see the opportunities where others see only the problems and challenges.

A successful person who looks for opportunities will find them, where others pass them by without noticing them.

Ones attitude will determine what we see.

Many opportunities will not present themselves in a calm environment of the day, they will be found in the darkness of storms and turbulences.

Your motivation will determine what you do with your opportunities once they’re found.

Learn From Others People’s Mistakes

“Some of us learn from other
peoples mistakes
and the rest of us
have to be other people”
Zig Ziglar, author, motivational speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Learn from others people’s mistakes.

Learning from mistakes can be a very costly lesson.

A key to learning from a mistake is to take the experience, determine what when wrong, and determine what when right. Replay the series of events in your mind that lead to the mistake. Play the mistake forward with what you did right and what you would do differently to change the mistake to a successful outcome.

Harness the Energy of Your Dreams

   Motivational Power Quote

Harness the Energy of Your Dreams

“A vision is a clearly-articulated
results-oriented picture
of the future you intend to create.
It is a dream with direction.”
Dr. Jesse Stoner Zemel, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Harness the energy of your dreams.

Until we clearly define our dreams they are vague thoughts in our mind with no direction or purpose.

The moment that we clearly define our dreams and put them in writing we create a mental picture of our future that we intend to create.

Once we create a result orientated vision of the future, our dreams take on a direction and we harness the energy of our dreams.

Clearly defining our dreams sets our course to achieve our desired outcome and to fill full our dreams.
