Your Temperament Determines Your Outlook

Your Temperament Determines Your Outlook
“The greatest part of our happiness depends
on our disposition, not our circumstances.”
Martha Washington 1731 - 1802, Former First Lady

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Your temperament determines your outlook

The attitude in your thinking is revealed in your character . . . . and how you look at the conditions in your lives. When your temperament is negative and unenthusiastic you get on a downhill slide. And you look at the conditions in your life through a negative prism . . . .and you will end up in living in a world of negative thinking and results.

When you see your world through the eyes of a positive disposition . . . . You will see the conditions in your life as a manageable condition of possibilities. You will look at your obstacles not as road block . . . . but more as hurdles to be overcome that are part of a success journey.

A person with a positive temperament is solution focused . . . . and a forward thinker. They will concentrate their desired outcome . . . . and in building forward momentum.

Your temperament determines your outlook . . . . and the way you look at your conditions. The type of energy you bring into your decision making . . . . and into your daily activities comes from your outlook. A positive temperament will keep you on track . . . . and focused on achieving your desired outcome.

Choices You Make

Choices You Make
“When you have to make a choice and you don’t make it,
that is in itself a choice.”
William James 1842 - 1878, American Philosopher
and Psychologist

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Choices you make

Your choices make will make you who you are.

Your life . . . . and your success is created as a result of the choices you make . . . .  When there’s a choice - make it. A choice left unmade is made for you by someone else. In those circumstances you lose control of making the choice . . . . and lose control of the outcome.

The choice of no action is the choice of procrastination. By procrastinating we’re accepting what is happens . . . . and allowing other to make decisions for you without your input.

The choice of procrastination . . . . leads to frustration.

Not making a choice is also a choice of deferring your decisions to others to make the choice for you without any input on your part.

Once you decide not to make a choice you have lost control over your choices . . . . and your decision making.

When you look at successful people they have a common trait. They will make the tough choices when they have to be made. They will establish what they’re expecting as a result of their choices and work hard to create the outcome.  Successful people will step up to the table of life and make the choices that they have to make.

Successful people will also risk making an occasional mistake in order to succeed . . . . and will take action and make  choices. They believe that their choices are correct . . . . and they will move forward with conviction to carry out their choices to a successful outcome.

When there is a choice . . . . make it and move forward.

Choices you make . . .  . are the stepping stones on your success journey . . . . . and will determine the direction that your success journey takes.

Your Emotions are a Powerful Motivator

Motivational Power Quote

Your Emotions are a Powerful Motivator
“Our emotions are powerful motivators, and more than
almost anything else in our lives they will drive our
behavior. Sometimes our greatest challenge is to get inside
our own heads to understand what makes us tick. Why do
we feel and behave the way we do.”
Mac Anderson, founder of the Simple Truth & Successories

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Your emotions are a powerful motivator

Your emotions are embedded in your thoughts . . . . and will determine your behavior . . . . and your course of action. Emotions are a sense or feeling that drives you in your decision making process.

Once you understand what makes you act the way you do . . . . you start to understand the powerful forces that are in your emotions.

The person that can control their emotions can control the course of their destiny.

Your emotions drive your actions and will be a major factor in the level of your success.

Planning Creates Focus

Motivational Power Quote

Planning Creates Focus
Planning is bring the future into the present so that you
can do something about if now.”
Alan Lakein, Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Planning creates focus

Planning today for future creates . . . . the vision of the path that you will follow and the mile markers for your success journey.

As you plan you . . . . bring your future into the present and it allow you to go forward with a purpose and a road map on how you’ll get to your destination. Having a plan also will show you when you have moved off course and the way to back on track.

Planning creates focus to move forward and in the right direction . . . .

Because you know where you’re going . . . . you have options. You have the option to adjust or to change your course when you encounter roadblocks and obstacles, or you have the option to continue on your current path.

When you have a plan for the future and you follow the plan . . . . you move forward with a sense of confidence in your actions which will results in better decision making.

With a plan you’re knows where you’re going, how you will get there and you will make progress in the direction of you goals. A person without a plan has the tendency to drift through life without a clear direction for there life.

Planning creates focus . . . . Planning creates options; the person with a plan creates the option of following a path way to success.  A person without a plan picks the option of drifting through life without a vision for their future.

Making Good Decisions

Motivational Power Quote

Making Good Decisions
“When your values are clear to you
making decisions become easy.”
Roy Disney, senior executive The Walt Disney Company

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Making good decisions

Having personal standards with and values give us a strong foundation for our decision making.

Making decision for the right reason may represent a challenge at the moment that we have to make a decision. What we will find is that we made the right decision for the right reason and as a result we make a good decision.

Decisions become easier to make when they are based on our values and not our emotions. Values give us a clear view of what has to be done and why we have to do it. Where emotional decisions have a tendency of being reactive and in many cases complicate the situation.

Be a person of high standards and values and you’ll make better and more effective decisions.

Making good decisions is a choice to do what’s right.
