Speak with a purpose


Speak when there is something constructive to say, if it’s not constructive remain silent, listen and learn.


Practice active listening to better understand the person that you’re speaking with to become more informed and effective communicator.


An effective communicator should know the subject that they’re speaking about. Speaking without knowledge of the subject is a pathway to a disaster and will make the speaker look unprofessional.


A wise person will not speak about a subject without the knowledge of the topic. Where they lack information on the topic they will do the research of the subject to gain the knowledge before they speak.


A wise person will speak with purpose on what they know, and be seen as an expert in their field.
