Hurricane Ike-It Looks Like a Disaster In the Making

Hurricane Ike-It Looks Like a Disaster In the Making

I just sat down in the family room and turned the TV on to check the hurricane coverage for hurricane Ike, it appears that we are about to see a disaster much larger then New Orleans with Katrina.

I can’t believe that after the residents were told that they would face death if they stayed there are thousands of people on the Galveston Island.

They just interviewed a business owner on Galveston Island that was in his business with a number of his friends. At the time of the telephone interview at about 10:20 EST there was five feet of water and rising in his store and they were on the second floor with one more floor to go to which would be fifteen feet above sea level. The storm surge is projected to be fifteen to twenty feet.

The report on the news said there are thousands of people that did not leave and they are in immediate danger of losing their lives.

It also appears the entire island will be under water from the Gulf of Mexico to the bay.

Also they announced that a levy has just let go in Louisiana and hundreds of homes are flooding.

This looks worst then what was projected and I hope I’m wrong.
