Being Prepared Removes the Fear

Being Prepared Removes the Fear
“Success in business requires training and discipline and
hard work. But if you’re not frightened by these
things, the opportunities are just as
great today as they ever were.”
David Rockefeller, American Entrepreneur and Chief Executive
of Chase Manhattan Bank

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Being prepared removes the fear

Being prepared for success removes the fear of moving forward . . . . and allows you to step forward with confidence.

Success will be available for those who are willing to develop the skills required to succeed . . . . and have the discipline to move forward with a purpose to pursue their goals and without fear.

As you move forward hard work with a purpose . . . . with a plan will keep you moving in the right direction . . . . and you will accelerate your forward momentum on your success journey.

Move forward with confidences . . . . and fear will evaporate into a distance memory.

Being prepared removes the fear . . . .  and will continue move you in the direction of your goals with the confidence that you will successfully achieve your goals and dreams.

Be Ready

Be Ready
“The great secret of success in life
is a man to be ready when opportunity comes.”
Benjamin Disraeli 1804 - 1881, England Conservative
Politician, Writer,
 Twice Served as Prime Minster

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Be ready

An opportunity can happen in a blink of an eye and can be lost just as fast. You will either put yourself into a position to be ready to grasp the opportunity . . . . Or you will see it slip away into the sunset of missed opportunities.

Opportunities don’t come along everyday. But when they do . . .  You have to be prepared . . . . and have a positive mental attitude. To recognize the opportunity and to maximize what the opportunity offers.

It’s not the size of the opportunity when you first see them, it’s what you make of the opportunity you see. Some of the biggest breakthroughs are the results of recognizing a small opportunity. Then finding the potential in the opportunity . . . . and turning it into breakthrough moment.

The key to recognizing opportunity is to be continuously looking for them . . . . and mentally being prepared to act on them when you find them.

You will see the opportunities want you have an attitude of possibility; you will take advantage of the opportunity when you’re prepared.

When you see an opportunity will you be ready to take the opportunity to the next level?

Common Traits of Successful Businesses

Common Traits of Successful Businesses
“The magic formula that successful businesses have
discovered is to treat customers like quests
and employees like people.”
Thomas J. Peters, American Businessman,
Management Expert

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Common traits of successful businesses

Successful businesses have discovered that their success is attributed to people . . . . and that the whole company is the sales team.

Having a successful customer experience is essential to a business . . . . and to their continued success. Establishing and maintaining a satisfied and happy customer’s base is essential to a business continued success.

The customer experienced will be shared with many of their family, friends and business associates. They will be sharing their experience with others when you are not present . . . . or part of the conversation. The customer experience will be influenced . . . . by everyone that’s involved in the business process with the customer.

You will be judged . . . . not only by the strongest link in the business process but by the weakest link in the process as well.

The customer experience that they had can become a bridge to future business and referrals. Or it can turn into a brick wall of lost business opportunity.

The entire company and or the business have to be prepared to meet and exceed the demands of a changing business environment.  To earn repeat business customers their demands have to be exceeded.

Good enough . . . . is no longer good enough.

Exceptional . . . . is the new standard for staying competitive and earning referral business.

Common traits of successful businesses . . . . is people. The way management treats the employees will be reflected in the way the employees treat the customers. The way the customers are treated will determine if the customer will do business with the company now . . . . and in the future.

Be Committed to Do Your Best

Be Committed to Do Your Best
“I’m trying to do the best I can, I’m not concerned
with tomorrow, but with what goes on today.”
Mark Spitz, Olympic Goal Mentalist

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Be committed to do your best

Doing our best is not a maybe . . . . or a sometime thing. It’s a personal commitment to be the best that you can be . . . . and in doing your best in the tasks that you undertake.

Stand and be recognized . . . .

1972 was a very special year for Mark Spitz.

Mark Spitz won seven goal metals in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games and was recognized as an Olympic Champion. During the 1972 Olympic Games Mark did his best . . . . and was recognized for his commitment to excellence in being the winner of seven gold medals for excellence in his events.

Champions are made far from the arena . . . .

During the 1972 Munich Olympic Games Mark Spitz was recognized for his commitment to doing his best.

His gold metals where awarded to Mark at the games for his excellence, but he won the metals with his commitment to doing his best many miles away from Munich.

For many years Mark made a commitment to personal excellences . . . .  and conditioned himself to be a winner and champion. Through the years of hard work to become the best, Mark’s toughest critic was Mark. He had to push himself to become the best. He pushed himself to be the best even when no one was watching . . . . and no one was around pushing him.
He knew that to be the best it had to come from inside of him. He understood that other could push him . . . .  but to become a champion he had to push his limits and himself.

When mark won the seven gold medals at that the Olympics he made it look easy.

With his years of preparation and dedication to do his best when he actually participated in his events at the Olympics he was physically . . . .  and mentally prepared to win. He had prepared for those events in his mind thousands of times . . . . and his commitment to doing his best made it look easy.

Champion in sports and in life earn the right to be called Champion . . . .  Be committed to do your best everyday of your life . . . . and when you do your best you will stand in the winner’s circle of life.

A Successful Negotiator

A Successful Negotiator
“The only thing certain about any negotiations is that
it will lead to another negotiation.”
Leigh Steinberg, Sports Agent

As I see it. . . . . . . .

A successful negotiatior

There are those that can and there of those who can’t . . . . that is negotiate successfully.

A successful negotiations is a process; not an event nor is it a one issue occurrence.

The person that understands the negotiating process and prepares themselves for the negotiations has a strategic advantage. That advantage is in the negotiations and in creating a successful negotiating process and outcome.

In any negotiations there are a number of issues to be negotiated. Some of the issues are on the table and in plain sight for everyone to see. Other issues are being masked to be used at a critical point in the negotiations . . . . and there will red herring being used as distracters.

The negotiations will be a series of give and take. The success negotiator will be prepared for the give and take that occurs . . . . They will not be thrown off course when a red herring is introduced into the negotiations.

A successful negotiator has to be prepared for the changing climate in the negotiating process.

To be successful in negotiating we have to understand the process.

When you have reached an agreement on one point . . . . it may not be the conclusion of the negotiations. It may be a step in the negotiations process and that item of on the person list of masked points.

With many negotiators they will negotiation on one point at the time trying to wear the other person down emotionally. They can also make an attempt to have the other person lose their patience and composure to gain control of the negotiation.

The person that’s in control of their emotions . . . . is in control of the negotiation process.

A successful negotiation is a process: and the agreement on one point may very likely lead to another area of the negotiations. Be prepared for the negotiating process and the contingencies that will occur and you will create a strategic advantage for a successful negotiations process.

A successful negotiator is prepared for the negotiations . . . . and puts themselves in the position to create a successful outcome in the negotiations.

are, and doing things as they ought to be done.”

Training Separates The Great From The Good

Motivational Power Quote

Training Separates The Great From The Good
“There is nothing training cannot do.
Nothing is above its reach.
It can turn bad moral to good:
it can destroy bad principles
and recreate good ones;
it can lift men to angel ship.”
Mark Twin 1835 - 1910, America Writer, Humorist

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Training separates the great from the good

Great companies and great people had a common trait; they know what to do . . . .  why to do it . . . . how to do it . . . . and when to do.

How they respond to the things that come into their lives and their actions are not random acts. They have prepared themselves . . . . to handle various situations and conditions. They respond to their conditions based on their training and the expertise that has been accumulated through their training and practical application.

Great companies and great people have prepared themselves to be . . . . in control of their destiny and the conditions that they encounter. As a result of their preparation and they are in control how they respond to the conditions. They will find themselves repeatedly responding effectively to their conditions.

Great people have taken on the personal responsibility to control their destiny. They have conditioned their mind to think through various scenarios seeking out the best solutions.

The one common tread in great companies and great people is training. Both have been trained for maximum efficiently and are able to compete at the highest levels successfully.

They have conditioned themselves to successfully navigate the conditions that they encounter . . . . and they will put themselves into a position to succeed.

One of the keys elements is training separates the great from the good is the commitment to continuous training and education. That commitment puts a company or a person on the leading edge for achieving their goals and success.  To become great you have to condition your thoughts through training your mind to think in terms of being great.

Be Prepared to Negotiate For What You Want

Motivational Power Quote

Be Prepared to Negotiate For What You Want
“In business you don’t get what you deserve,
you get what you negotiate.”
Chester L. Karrass, negotiating expert

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Be prepared to negotiate for what you want

Everything that you want . . . . is either owner or controlled by someone. If you want something it’s not going to be handed to you. We’re going to have to . . . . successfully negotiate for it.

In your career you may feel that you deserve a raise or to make more money . . . . in both cases if you want more money you will have to earn it.

If you feel that you deserve more money there are choices. You will have to become more proficient in your professional and prove yourself and negotiate a raise with the company based on . . . . your performance.

Or in commission sales you get better in you’re choose field and increase business . . . . and your negotiating skills to earn more money.

In both cases what you’re looking to accomplish . . . . is increasing our income. In both cases what you’re seeking is controlled by someone else (the money) and in both cases you have to get better at what’re doing id to . . . . negotiate for increasing our share of the money.

Be prepared to negotiate for what you want . . . . by increasing your negotiating skills to become a more effective negotiator.

You Will Attract What You Expect to Attract

Motivational Power Quote

You Will Attract What You Expect to Attract
“The universe will fill your cup - - if you carry a big cup,
a little cup, or a thimble.”
Sonia Choquette, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

You will attract what you expect to attract.

You will attract what you expect to attract. . . . and what you’re prepared for . . . .

What you attract is in direct proportion to your expectation. If you believe that you are an opportunity magnet you will find your opportunity cup filling until it’s running over with opportunities.

You are a living magnet or a shield. Has a magnet you attract, as a shield you defect, either way it’s in direct proportion to your expectations and what you’re prepared for.

Being the biggest bucket you can find into you life and you will fill it with the positive opportunities that you attract into your life.

You will attract what you expect to attract . . . . And what you’re prepared for. Open your mind to the possibilities and prepare yourself to make the most of them.

Success is a Series of Milestones

Motivational Power Quote

Success is a Series of Milestones
“I look at a victory as milestones on a very long highway.”
Joan Benoit Samuelson, Olympic Gold Medal Winner, retired American Marathon Runner

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Success is a series of milestones

See your victories as milestones on your success journey and not as an isolated event. It’s the combination of you victories that lead to success.

Each victory moves your closer to your goals, but one victory will not create success it creates a milestone on your success journey. Many people savory their victory and believe that they have arrived. At that moment in time they become very susceptible to failure because they translated a victory not as a mile stone but as reaching the top of the mountain.

Your success journey is a long road and your victories have an accumulated value in your overall success.

Look at your setbacks and failures on your success journey as temporary conditions and as a learning experience. Learn from them and make the necessary adjustments to move forward better prepared for the future.

Success is achieved by those who are persistent and see things through a success conclusion. See success as a series of milestones with each one your victories contributing to your long term success.

The Will To Win

Motivational Power Quote

The Will To Win
“Great things are not something accidental,
but must certainly be willed.”
Vincent Van Gogh, artist

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The will to win

Winning takes having a purpose and a will to win.

Winners have the will to stay focused on their objectives through the good times when things appear to be easy. By remaining focused they will continue to push forward and gain increased momentum to achieve their goals.

Winners will rise to the occasion to overcome the difficulties and challenges they face. They will not allow a condition to derail their success journey and will push through their difficulties and challenges and remain focused on the big picture and standing in the winner’s circle.

Winners keep their eye their desired outcome, and their efforts moving them in that direction.

Winners have developed and maintain the skills and tools to win and apply them with a purpose.

Winners are determined to succeed and are prepared for any obstacles that they encounter.

Winners have the will to win and a winner wills their success.

Attracting Opportunities

Motivational Power Quote

Attracting Opportunities
“Those who embrace learning will attract
business opportunities and success in their future,
while the non-learner will no longer be able to successfully compete.”
Lou Ludwig, sales and marketing consultant, author, speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Attracting opportunities

The person that commits themselves to continuous learning will acquire the skills necessary to compete and achieve success in a competitive world and changing business environment. While others will no longer be able to keep up and compete.

The person who has prepared themselves will be on the leading edge of attracting opportunities. That person will see opportunities that won’t see. They will also take advantage of opportunities that others miss.

The person who has prepared themselves creates the thin slice of differences between attracting opportunities and missing opportunity.

The people who have sharpened their skills to a razors edge will maximize the opportunities that they find and turn their opportunities into successes.

Attracting business opportunities will go to the person who has prepared themselves to attract them.

The Difference Between an Amateur and a Professional

Motivational Power Quote

The Difference Between an Amateur and a Professional
“Amateurs hope, professionals work.”
Garson Kanin, American writer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The difference between an amateur and a professional

A professional is committed to their success and their career.

Amateurs may or may not be committed to their career.

A professional prepares themselves to succeed.

A professional is passionate about their career and performance.

Professionals will make the extra effort and will pay the price to succeed.

A professional will work hard to get better at what they do, when others won’t make the effort.

An amateur hopes.

The difference between an amateur and a professional is the ultimate professional work hard and know that you will succeed.
