Be Committed to Do Your Best
“I’m trying to do the best I can, I’m not concerned
with tomorrow, but
with what goes on today.”
Mark Spitz, Olympic Goal Mentalist
As I see it. . . . . . . .
Be committed to do your best
Doing our best is not a maybe . . . . or
a sometime thing. It’s a personal commitment to be the best that you can be . .
. . and in doing your best in the tasks that you undertake.
Stand and be recognized . . . .
1972 was a very special year for Mark
Spitz.
Mark Spitz won seven goal metals in the
1972 Munich
Olympic Games and was recognized as an Olympic Champion. During the 1972 Olympic
Games Mark did his best . . . . and was recognized for his commitment to
excellence in being the winner of seven gold medals for excellence in his
events.
Champions are made far from the arena .
. . .
During the 1972 Munich Olympic Games Mark Spitz was
recognized for his commitment to doing his best.
His gold metals where awarded to Mark at
the games for his excellence, but he won the metals with his commitment to
doing his best many miles away from Munich .
For many years Mark made a commitment to
personal excellences . . . . and
conditioned himself to be a winner and champion. Through the years of hard work
to become the best, Mark’s toughest critic was Mark. He had to push himself to
become the best. He pushed himself to be the best even when no one was watching
. . . . and no one was around pushing him.
He knew that to be the best it had to
come from inside of him. He understood that other could push him . . . . but to become a champion he had to push his
limits and himself.
When mark won the seven gold medals at that
the Olympics he made it look easy.
With his years of preparation and
dedication to do his best when he actually participated in his events at the Olympics
he was physically . . . . and mentally
prepared to win. He had prepared for those events in his mind thousands of
times . . . . and his commitment to doing his best made it look easy.
Champion in sports and in life earn the
right to be called Champion . . . . Be committed
to do your best everyday of your life . . . . and when you do your best you
will stand in the winner’s circle of life.
