Sharpening Your Ax
“If I had nine hours to chop down a tree,
I’d spend the first six sharpening my ax.”
Abraham Lincoln 1809 - 1865, 16th President
of the United States
As I see it. . . . . . . .
Sharpening your ax
Attempting to chop down a tree with a
dull ax is an exercise in fertility. There will be a lot of effort and sweat involved
with very little progress to show for your effort.
In business you have to keep your ax
sharpen to be productive . . . . to reach your full potential.
You will also have to invest time and
effort in yourself and in your personal devolvement sharpening your tools to a
fine edge. The sharper your tools become the more valuable they become to you
to support you on your success journey.
Having shape business tools will
increase your overall effectiveness, enabling you to have a better use and
control of your time. Having sharp tools will also cut a clear path for achieving
your goals on your success journey.
One thing about tools is they don’t stay
sharp without shaping them and maintaining them. You have to keep your tools sharpen
to a sharp edge or they will become dull.
To standout in your profession you have
to commit yourselves to keeping your tools sharpen to a razors sharp edge.
Sharpening your ax and maintain your
tools to a razors sharp edge will create a strategic business advantage.
