To Solve Big Problems You Have to Make
Tough Decisions
“To solve big problems you have to be willing
to do unpopular things.”
Lee Iacocca, Auto Executive
As I see it. . . . . . . .
To solve big problems you have to make tough
decisions
Solving big problems takes focusing on
the solutions and in moving forward . . . . and not becoming mired in the past.
And inordinate amount of time is wasted in problem solving as a result of
looking for someone to blame instead of taking the responsibility to solve the
problem.
To solve a big problem remain focused
the solutions and in making the tough decisions.
Many times the solution to a big problem
comes as a result of creative thinking . . . . And in having stepping up to the
plate and making the tough decisions.
A word of caution that in solving big
problems many times you get trapped in group thinking and trying to come to a conscious.
In that conscious the baby is throw out with the bath water. Many times
conscious become a substitute for making a tough decision.
Conscious thinking pushes the real
problem down the road because within the conscious thinking . . . . no one has
made the tough decisions.
Solving big problems takes making tough
decisions. Those decisions are made by tough people . . . . willing to take
risks.
Once the problem is resolved use the
experiences and lessons learned from the problem solving to move forward. Use the
experiences that you have learned to become more effective in your future endeavors
in making tough decisions.
To solve big problems you have to make tough
decisions. They are made by tough people when the chips are down and the issues
have to be addressed and resolved.
