What You Do Next is a Choice
“A friend of mine has a great attitude: when something
doesn’t go his way,
instead of crying over spilt milk,
he just milks another cow.”
Alexander Lockhart, Author
As I see it. . . . . . . .
What you do next is a choice
There are times in your life that you
spill the milk or in other words thing just flat out don’t work out the way you
have planned for them to.
Spilling the milk can represent many
things . . . . an end to a relationship . . . . a lost business opportunity . .
. . a lost sale . . . . a missed promotion . . . . and the list goes on.
Spilling the milk isn’t the end of the
world. You have reached a point where something has not worked and you are
experiencing a temporary delay on your success journey.
Once the milk has been spilled out . . .
. it represents the end of stage on your success journey. The opportunity the milk
represented fades away . . . . and is no longer available to you.
What happens next becomes the choice and
becomes a key element of success journey . . . . and the direction that your success
journey takes.
You can sit there and try to live in the
past.
If you do you will live a life of regret
of what was . . . . or what was lost. The result of living past is living in an
ocean of spilt milk and eventually the spilt milk of regret will pull us under
and drain the life out of you and your future.
The future is yet to be and you have it
within your capacity to shape your future. You have to be willing to let go of your
past spilt milk and find the milk of your future and create your future and
destiny.
It’s only when we make the choice to
move on . . . . do you find the milk of your future and the benefits that your
futures holds for you.
After a setback what you do next is a
choice . . . . and determines the direction that your success journey.
