You Goals Are Stepping Stones – Not a Destination

You Goals Are Stepping Stones – Not a Destination
“What you get by achieving your goals is not as
important as what you become by
achieving your goals.”
Zig Ziglar 1926 - 2012, American Author.
Salesman, Motivational Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Your goals are stepping stones – not a destination

Having written goals . . . . and achieving them can have a significant impact on your life and career. Goals are a critical element for your success journey they give you both a direction . . . . and a purpose for your success journey.

In achieving your goals you can measure the progress . . . . and the pace of your success journey. By using your goals as a measuring device you can monitor your success journey . . . . and your forward progress. Too ensure that you remain on course, use your goals to help you to stay on purpose . . . . and to make the adjustment when stray off course.

Achieving your goals will allow you to move up the ladder of success and fulfill our dreams. You can carve out a better life for yourself and for the people who are important to you.

As you move through life one of the most important elements about achieving of goals is who you become. A result of achieving your goals, you will understand that goals are stepping stones – not a destination.

Do you reach back . . . . and boost someone forward?

Are we appreciative for your success?

Do we thank your mentors . . . . and the people that have helped you along the way?

We all know that success can be fleeing . . .  . It’s what you do along the way that makes you who you become.

Success is a Journey of Endurance

Success is a Journey of Endurance
“First say to yourself what you will be; and then do,
what you have to do. Life is a grindstone, whether it
wears you down or polishes you up depends
on what you are made of.”
Zig Ziglar 1926 – 2012, American Author,
Salesman and Motivational Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Success is a journey of endurance

Your success journey starts with a vision that you have for the future and the first step in the right direction.

Your dreams for the future . . . . see the things that you want to accomplish. Let those visions become crystal clear in their mind on what they are . . . . and on what you want accomplish.

Even with a crystal clear vision . . . . success can remain elusive. Why?

A dream remains a dream of what can be. It not until you decide to take action on your dreams . . . . will anything positive happen to live them. The moment that you take positive action on your dreams . . . . you start your success journey to fulfill your dreams.

Once you decide to take action on your dreams . . . . you have to create a road map to achieve your desired results.  Turn your dreams into written goals with a timeline to achieve them. Your goals become an effective way to measure your forward progress . . . . They create the mile markers to keep you moving in the right direction.

Written goals can make all the difference on your success journey hitting its mark.

Having written goals create a sense of purpose in your days . . . . and in your activities. The closer your goals are aliened with your activities the steadier your success journey will become.
Control the use of your time . . . . and the energy that you’re put into your days. Focus your activities on the actions that will move you forward and closer to your fulfilling your goals and dreams.

Wasting your time and energy moves you further away from your dreams and leaves you with a feeling of exhaustion being unfulfilled.

Your success journey will experience many twists and turns along the way some creating an expressway and some creating a detour. No matter what conditions you face on your success journey . . . . Your conditions become temporary conditions that you’re able to adjust to or work around when you have written goals and a plan to guide you.

You have to remain focused on your objectives . . . . and many times your success journey becomes a journey of endurance. Stay strong . . . . stays focused . . . . and keep moving forward.

Success is a journey is a journey of endurance . . . . not an expressway.

Focus on Doing the Things That Have to Be Done

Focus on Doing the Things That Have to Be Done
“When you do the things you need to do when you need to
do them the day will come when you can do the things
you want to do when you want to do them.”
Zig Ziglar 1926 - 2012, Motivational Speaker,
Self-Help Author

As I see it. . . . . . .

Focus on doing the things that have to be done

Today will only come around one time.

What you do with your day will impact your future . . . . and the direction that your life moves in. When you make your day a productive day your efforts will return you in the future with compound interest.

Make the most of your day do what has to be done . . . . and then do a just a little more. When you do what has to be done put your best effort into your efforts . . . . and do what you do with excellences.

Don’t put off what has to be done today for another day. Because as they say “tomorrow is another day away” . . . . and what has to be done today and is put off to another day will never get done.

Doing what’s needed to be done today, creates positive momentum in your life and career. Being proactive and focusing on what has to be done makes your days productive . . . . and helps to remove the stress from your life.

By doing what needs to be done today . . . . will allow you to do the things you want to do. . . . . when you want to do them in your future.

Focus on doing the things that have to be done . . . . and you’re focusing your efforts in building the bridge to a successful future.

Success is Becoming All You Can Be

Success is Becoming All You Can Be
Success means doing the best we can with what we have.
Success is the doing, not the getting;
in the trying, not in the triumph.
Success is a personal standard,
reaching for the highest that is in us,
become all that we can be.”
Zig Ziglar 1929 – 2012, American Author, Salesman,
Motivational Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Success is become all you can be

Success is starting from where you are with the resources you have . . . . and in doing your best . . . . to become all you can be.

Finding success is not in measuring yourself by other people’s standards, but by measuring yourself by your standards . . . . and in making the commitment to do your best.

Create the standard for your life by setting your bar high. Compete with yourself everyday to become better and to being all you can be.

Success comes in doing your best . . . . and to continuously striving in the direction of your goals. It’s in achieving your benchmarks and using them as building blocks to achieve your desired outcome.

Success is becoming all you can be. by using all of your resources at your disposal with a targeted purpose of making the most out of them. It’s putting the full weight of your personal beliefs that you will succeed to work for you. Success will come to does that believe and do.

Good Enough Doesn’t Cut It

Motivational Power Quote

Good Enough Doesn’t Cut It
Every success is built on the ability to do better than good enough.”
Zig Ziglar 1926 - 2012, American Author, Salesman,
Motivational Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Good enough doesn’t cut it

Good enough doesn’t cut it . . . .  and doesn’t get it done . . . . it’s becomes a prescription for mediocrity at best.

Good enough is taking the course of least resistances . . . . and attempting to get by with  minimum  efforts. A person that tries to get by with good enough will find themselves sliding backwards in their career . . . . and their goals becoming farther out of their reach.

Trying to get by with good enough . . . . becomes a destructive habit. Breaking the habit of good enough is a tipping point moment in your life and will revitalize your career and get you back onto the right path of your success journey.

When you reach a fork in the road where the choice is between good enough and doing your best make the choice to do your best.

Success is achieved when  your willing stretch yourself to do the best you can and never settle for good enough doesn’t cut it and because good enough never is.

Adapt and Adapt Quickly

Motivational Power Quote

Adapt and Adapt Quickly
“Expect the best.
Prepare for the worst.
Capitalize on what comes.”
Zig Ziglar, motivational author and speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Adapt and adapt quickly

Be prepared for what comes your way and when things change, adapt quickly to the change.

We feel a sense of safety in remaining in our comfort zone and in many cases we become resistant to change at any cost.

When things change be nimbler and adapt quickly. Become familiar with the changes and prepare yourself for your new reality.

By preparing yourself and adapting you place yourself in a position to succeed and to control the effects of change has on you.

When you adapt and prepare yourself you adapt for the future and you will capitalize on the opportunities that change creates.

Adapt and adapt quickly to stay in control of the change, prepare yourself for the future and your success and you will move forward with confidence.

Failure is a Detour

Motivational Power Quote
Failure is a Detour
“Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street.”
Zig Ziglar, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Failure is a detour
Experiencing a failure can extend your success journey and may require more time and effort, but you will get to your destination with persistence.
Failure and setbacks are those things that we encounter on our success journey. How we respond to those obstacles will have a major impact on our success.
View failure and setbacks as temporary condition and a detour on our success journey, not a permanent condition. The only thing that makes failure and setbacks permanent is when we quit
Stays focused on your objectives and find a way to navigate your way past your obstacles.
Failure is a detour take the detour when it’s required adjust your course but stay on track to achieve your goals.

Motivational Power Quote

See Yourself as a Winner
“If you don’t see yourself as a winner,
then you cannot perform as a winner.”
Zig Ziglar, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

See yourself as a winner

See yourself standing in the winner’s circle of life receiving the benefits of your success. Create the vision of that picture in your mind until that image is burned into your subconscious mind with clarity. As you feel that success your confidence will grow and it will be reflected in your activities.

Set your expectations of being that winner that you see in the winner’s circle. Project that person you see in your professional image and in your attitude.

See yourself as a winner. You are the person that you see yourself to be; you are a winner.

Success is a Process Not an Single Event

Motivational Power Quote

Success is a Process Not an Single Event
“Success doesn’t make you and
failure doesn’t break you.”

Zig Ziglar, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Success is a process not a single event

Success becomes within your reach with a dedicated effort to consistently work in the direction of your goals and objectives.

Success is not a single event and does not happen overnight. A single act of success may make your day but will not make your career. Lasting success is created through a consistent effort and your daily commitment to remain focused on our goals.

On your success journey there will days where things won’t workout the way you’re planned and you will experience setbacks. Both are obstacles that we have to overcome in order to succeed, they are only temporary moments on your success journey. With resolve they will not derail your journey they are only temporary delay in achieving your goals.

You determine the level of success through your choices. Success is not the events it’s a journey of purpose.

Success Comes From Within

Motivational Power Quote

Success Comes From Within
The real opportunity for success,
lies within the person
and not in the job.”
Zig Ziglar author

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Success comes from within

Success doesn’t result from the person’s station in life. You create your station in life from within and through your efforts.

Your job doesn’t create success. You create the success in your job and your career from within.

The level of success that you achieve comes from within.

You have to direct your thinking in the direction of success and that thinking comes from within.

Your thinking will determine your attitude and your attitude will determine your actions. What comes from within will determine the path that you will follow and your level your success that you will achieve.

Your success can only come from within and you control what that level of success will be in your thinking.

Success comes from within and is achieved through our daily efforts,

Don’t Allow Criticism to Become a Distraction

Motivational Power Quote

Don’t Allow Criticism to Become a Distraction
“Don’t be distracted by criticism.
Remember the only taste of success
some people have is when they
take a bite out of you.”
Zig Ziglar, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Don’t allow criticism to become a distraction

There are times that we will hear constructive criticism from caring people that has the potential to have a positive affect on our lives.

We will also hear criticism from negative people that would like to see us fail. That criticism comes from people who small and narrow minded. They will spend their energy and days trying to make people feel bad about them self. They criticize others in order to make themselves feel good.

Distance yourself from those who are narrow minded and negative. Their goal in life is not to become successful but to try to bring you down to their level negativity.

Don’t allow criticism to become a distraction, focus your energy on the positive influences in your life and use them as building blocks for the future.

What Does Motivation and Bathing Have in Common?

Motivational Power Quote

What Does Motivation and Bathing Have in Common?
“People often say that motivation
doesn’t last.
Well neither does bathing –
that’s why we recommend daily.”
Zig Ziglar, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

What does motivation and bathing have in common?

The pessimist will say that motivation won’t last, well guess what bathing doesn’t last either, and should be done daily.

It’s highly recommended that we receive a healthy dose of motivation daily to keep us focused on moving in the right direction with passion.

Our motivations are the vitamins that keep our mind inspired with enthusiasm. Motivation keeps us at a high level of performance to achieve our desired outcome.

Without motivation we drift backwards and move further away from success with increased frustration.

When we’re not bathing daily you begin to smell, without motivation our attitude shrinks and we begin to stink. It’s best to have a daily habit of bathing and recharging your motivation.

Motivation is a driving force to focus us on our success journey.

Creating Personal Power

Motivational Power Quote

Creating Personal Power
“It was character that got us out of bed,
commitment that moved us into action,
and discipline that enabled
us to follow through.”
Zig Ziglar, author and motivational Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Creating person power . . . .

Creating personal power is a choice and a commitment to personal excellence.

Successful people have the common trait of character.

People with character have a strong moral fiber and can be counted on to deliver on their word and a personal code of ethics.
They are committed to their success, believe in themselves and they are steadfast in their personal beliefs that they will accomplish their objectives.

They have the discipline to stay the course and will to do what required in achieving success. Successful people are determined to succeed and to control their destiny.

When we achieve personal excellences we create the personal power to fuel our success journey.
