Learn the Rules and Play to Win

Learn the Rules and Play to Win
“You have to learn the rules of the game.
And then you have to play better than anyone else.”
Albert Einstein 1879 - 1955, Noble Prize of Physics
Theoretical Physicist and Philosopher, Developed the
General Theory of Relativity

As I see it . . . . . . .
Learn the rules and play to win

Games have rules . . . . without a clear understanding of the rules it becomes almost impossible to play the game with any effectiveness and there is little likelihood of winning.

The rules become the guidelines . . . . on the way the game is played.

If your objective is to play the game competitively you have to learn the rules.

Once you learn the rules of the game . . . . and have a strong understand on the way the game is played you increase the odds of winning the game.

Learning the rules . . . . and mastering the game creates a competitive advantage. Learning the game . . . . and playing the game better than your opponents creates the winners edge.

Learn the rules . . . . and then to master the rules.

Throughout your life you are learning the rules. To be competitive in your profession you have to first learn the rules and to become competitive you have to master the rules. To succeed you have to learn to play by the rules better than your competition.

Learn the rules and play to win.

You Play to Win

You Play to Win
“Each player must accept the cards that life deals him
or her. But once in hand one must decide how to
play the cards in order to win the game.”
Voltaire 1694 – 1778, French Writer, Historian
and Philosopher

As I see it . . . . . . .
Play to win

You have the cards of life in your hands . . . . now what do you do?

You play to win.

Some people go through life trying not to lose . . . . and they will not play the cards of life that they were dealt. Rather then risking the cards they have they just don’t use them . . . . or play them. They go through life defensively . . . . and won’t mount an offence to push forward, to success or to win.

They’re in their comfort zone . . . . and in their safety of not trying.

There is another group of people that don’t know where their cards are . . . . and will stand on the sidelines without ever engaging or becoming part of the game. They will continually lose ground . . . . and will fall so far behind they won’t even be in the game.

There is a small and very effective group of people that are the winner in life. They play the cards that they were dealt without complaining about the cards.

You where dealt a hand of cards . . . . you didn’t ask for them but now they’re your cards . . . . and you own them. The choice is now yours on what you do with the cards you have. You can complain about the cards which will take you eye off your objectives . . . . or you can play the cards to win.

What you do is your choice . . . .

Make the best uses of the cards you have . . . . and take the cards that you were dealt . . . . and play them to win.

To play to win is in the choice of your attitude. If you can’t change your cards, change the way you look at your cards . . . . and change the way you play the cards. But also play to win.
