Complacency is a Career Killer

Complacency is a Career Killer
“Each success only buys an admission ticket
to a more difficult problem.”
Henry Kissinger, 56th US Secretary of State

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Complacency is a career killer

The fruits of success can lead to complacency. You can see it in professional sports . . . . business  . . . . and in people’s personal lives. We have all seen people who have experienced success and could have taken their career to the next level. But instead they chose to become complacent . . . . and they never became the success that they capable of being.

Complacency becomes a trap and a silent killer of careers.

Success creates the opportunity to try again. The more success you achieve the more opportunities you invite into your life.

Be on the lookout for the silent killer of complacency.

Don’t turn off the energy switch that powers your career efforts . . . . Keep the light of your career burning brightly. Keep your energy flowing into your career and into your forward momentum.

Do not misuse your time on non productive tasks remain focused on your most productive . . . . and in success building activities.

Be aware of taking shortcuts . . . . They can easily take you off track and can lead to failure.  Maintain your success habits and focus them on creating your future success.

Don’t have a sense of entitlement; you earn your results from your efforts. Do your best and the best will come back to you with increased dividend.

Your next success is an effort away.

Complacency is career killer. Don’t allow complacency to kill your career or to block your success.

The Secret Winners Know

Motivational Power Quote

The Secret Winners Know
“Success is almost totally dependent upon drive and persistence.
The extra energy required to make another effort
or try another approach is the secret of winning.”
Denis E. Waitley, author, motivational speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

The secret winners know

The secret that winner know is not the secret of the ages, it’s something that they discovered on their success journey that positively impacted their careers.

Winners have discovered and embrace the philosophy that their inner drive becomes the force that propels them forward. And their persistence becomes the determination to stay on course and to push through the obstacles that they encounter.

When a winner needs an extra boost of energy they reach deep into to their inner resources for that extra energy. And when they need a little extra to overcome a setback they find it in their inner drive.

What separates a winner from the crowd is in their drive. It shows in their actions and in their persistence.

The secret the winners know is that their drive will get them going and their persistence will keep them going.

What Does Dancing and Success Have in Common?

Motivational Power Quote

What Does Dancing and Success Have in Common?
“When you dance your purpose
is not to get to a certain place on the floor.
it’s to enjoy each step along the way.”
Dr. Wayne Dyer, author and speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

What does dancing and success have in common?

When your dancing the idea is to enjoy the moment your in and the company of the person that you’re dancing with.

In business if you’re enjoying your success journey and the people that you’re associated with you have the energy and incentive to keep going.

When you enjoy what you’re doing, it becomes fun and something that we look forward to doing.

Real success comes in enjoying the moments in your life and the passion of your success journey.

What does dancing and success have in common? Success will come through your efforts and enjoying the moments in your life and when you put them all together you create an unstoppable force for creating success.

Focus on What You Have the Power to Change

Motivational Power Quote

Focus on What You Have the Power to Change
“Smart business people focus
on the things they have the power to change,
not whining about the thing they don’t .”
Seth Godin, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Focus on what you have the power to change

Each day of our lives we have to make choices on what’s important to us and how to invest our time.

Focus your time and energy on the things that you can control and the things you have the power to change.

Don’t waste your time on the things that are out of our control and that you have no power in changing. Do the best you can with whose things and move on. But don’t waste your time.

When you control the things that you can change you control your energy, your time and your life.

Focus on what you have the power to change and you will be investing your time and energy on your future.

You Can’t Reverse Time

Motivational Power Quote

You Can’t Reverse Time
“You can’t turn back the clock,
but you can wind it up again.”
Bonnie Prudden, myotherapy

As I see it. . . . . . . .

You can’t reverse time

When time has passed its gone forever. We can’t go back and recapture the moments or redo the events of the past or change what has happened. The only productive use of the past is to use it as a learning experience to build a brighter future.

Dwelling on the past becomes exhausting and unproductive use of our time and energy.

Rewind your energy clock; put your time and energy to work for you to build a productive and successful future.

Have Awareness

Motivational Power Quote

Have Awareness

“Let us not look back in anger,
nor forward in fear;
but around us in awareness.”
James Thurber

As I see it. . . .
Have awareness.

Have awareness of the things around us, look for the opportunities. Work through the challenges and over come the obstacles.

Be aware of the past but don’t live there it will drain your energy.

Move forward with confidence and leave your fears at the door.

Be aware of where you are today; take the steps to move forward with enthusiasm, purpose and awareness.
